About The Scholarship
Master’s scholarships for Argentine teachers of French as a foreign language.
The FLE – Government of France “Trainers of Trainers” Master’s Scholarships allow teachers to continue their training through a quality French university experience, offering teachers a distance learning experience and a specialization in digital engineering entirely in the French language.
French is present in the official programs of 17 of the 24 jurisdictions of the Argentine Republic and is in second place among the foreign languages taught in all cycles of the educational system. The challenge of the quality of training and renewal of French teachers becomes, therefore, crucial.
Given the absence of specific national and French postgraduate courses and in order to encourage the internationalization of the initial training devices for Argentine French teachers, the Institut français d’Argentine implements a scholarship program aimed at French teachers wishing to consolidate their level of qualification through a Master’s degree from a French university.
ABOUT THE SECOND EDITION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
After a first edition reserved for trainers of trainers and teachers from the 10 LabelFrancEducation establishments in Argentina, the program opens, from the 2022-2023 university year, to all teachers from Argentina, graduates with an official title for teaching French.
The path began 22 years ago by the IES en Lenguas Vivas Juan Ramón Fernández and the University of Rouen-Normandie, which has allowed the training of more than 30 teachers at the Master’s level and 4 doctors in Language Sciences, thus experiencing a new impetus and expansion thanks to the collaboration with two other universities that also offer entirely remote devices: the University of the Antilles and the University of La Réunion.
ABOUT THE ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
In order to accompany the consolidation of the profile of the new generations of teachers, the scholarship program will allow teachers to benefit from a scholarship awarded by the Institut français d’Argentine to obtain one of the following degrees:

1. Allow teachers to continue their training through a quality French university experience.
2. Offer teachers a distance learning experience and a digital engineering specialization entirely in French.
3. Promote the internationalization of the profile of teachers and higher education in French in Argentina.
4. Promote the socialization of the experience with future French teachers in Argentina within training institutes and universities.
5. Encourage the development of research in French as a foreign language and in Language Sciences in Argentina.
6. Promote collaborations with universities in the French-speaking area.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
The Institut français d’Argentine forms part of the network of Instituts français, which today has 96 entities around the world. Under the authority of the French Ambassador in Argentina, and in close collaboration with all the services of the French Embassy, the main mission of the Institut français d’Argentine is to promote French culture in Argentina in a process of openness and dialogue constant with its local partners.
It is an instrument of cooperation and influence as well as a pole of expertise and advice. Its Director is also a Counselor for cooperation and cultural action at the French Embassy.
The development of Franco-Argentine relations in the university, scientific and cultural spheres – the main lines of which were promulgated in the cooperation agreement signed in 1964, on the occasion of the visit of the President of the French Republic at the time, Charles de Gaulle – is at the center of the action of the Institut français d’Argentine.
