ABOUT THE MATTEI SCHOOL AND YOUR FUTURE IN ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Founded in 1957, the Mattei School (Scuola Mattei) was the institution that promoted the MEDEA Master’s course, the first example of postgraduate training in Italy.
Founded in 1957, the Scuola Mattei launched the first example of postgraduate education in Italy, becoming over the years a benchmark for professionals in the energy sector.

Who is this Scholarship addressed to?

The scholarship for Master in energy, environmental management, and economics – ENI – MEDEA is offered by Eni Corporate University, which invites interested parties to an academic course leading to a Master in Management and Economics of Energy and the Environment – MEDEA, in collaboration with the University of Pavia, level I and II, for the academic year 2021/2022. The MEDEA Master has been designed and is managed in collaboration with Eni.

ABOUT THE MASTER’S DEGREE
The MEDEA Master is aimed at graduates with degrees in technical-scientific and economic subjects, both from Italy and abroad, as well as those who already work in the energy and environment sector and wish to gain a deeper understanding deep in these areas.
The curriculum focuses specifically on the topics of energy and the environment and takes an international and interdisciplinary approach.
The academic staff consists of an internal team and various professors from leading Italian and foreign universities, together with successful managers and experts from Eni.
Teaching includes conferences, flipped classrooms and blended training, case studies, learning by doing, project work, seminars and conferences, and guided tours of industrial facilities of special interest.

BASIC SELECTION PROCESS
a. Participants will be selected based on their college and other qualifications and professional experience.
b. Academic or professional experience in the energy sector will be duly valued.
c. Individuals selected independently by Eni’s foreign companies can also enroll in the courses.

PARTICIPATION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PAVIA IN THE MEDEA MASTER
From the 2020-2021 academic year, the Master’s program is organized in collaboration with the University of Pavia, to offer students a legally recognized degree.
The Master takes place from September to June at the Eni Corporate University in San Donato Milanese.
Courses are taught in English and require full-time attendance.
they usually start in mid-September and end on June 30. For non-Italian students, there will be an intensive Italian language course during the summer before the start of the Master’s. Those who pass the final exams will obtain the title of Master’s Degree in Management and Economics of Energy and the Environment (MEDEA).

COUNTRIES SPECIALLY FAVORED BY THIS Scholarship
In order to promote the dissemination of energy culture in specific countries of interest to the energy sector, some full scholarships will be awarded to deserving students who are in possession of citizenship of the following countries: Albania, Algeria, Angola, Cyprus, Congo, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Libya, Mexico, Mozambique, Nigeria, Turkmenistan, Vietnam. In addition to the exemption from the payment of tuition fees, the scholarship entails a monthly economic contribution for accommodation and maintenance expenses (1,000 euros gross for students of Italian nationality and 1,300 euros gross for students of foreign nationality), use of company canteens, free training materials

The scholarships fully cover the cost of the MEDEA Master (valued at €25,000), which includes teaching materials, the use of the company canteens, and a monthly subsidy of €1,000 gross for Italian students and €1,300 gross for non-Italian students.
