The main objective of the OPEC American Internship is to offer students the opportunity to have knowledge and work experience in a high-level environment, where they will use all their knowledge in international projects.

Successfully completing this training project will have the possibility of obtaining a job in a European organization in the public or private sector: financial operations, internal audit, risk management, administration, planning, legal services, human resources, and technology.

It should be noted that OPEC is the only entity on the planet that collects funds from member countries and distributes them to non-members in order to support development in fields such as work, health, and food. As a student interested in being part of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, you must demonstrate social commitment and interest in the development and well-being of people and communities.

Scholarship endowment:

OPEC will provide the following prizes to selected students:

  • Practical experience in a high-level international environment.
  • Joint research with other professionals.

Conditions that must be met by participants:

  • Be an international student who is currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. You must have at least two completed years of any of the above.
  • Be between 19 and 25 years of age at the time you submit your registration.
  • Be trained in the command of the English language. Preferably you have knowledge in another language such as French, Spanish or Arabic.
  • Be interested in the work done by OPEC.
  • Submit the formal request through the entry system of the official website of OPEC (Organizations of Petroleum Exporting Countries). You must create an account and then you must follow each of the steps that will be detailed on the same site.

  • Declaration of your interest to apply for the OPEC internship.
