History

Extensive research says that its beliefs began as early as World War II and its divisions were formed by members serving in Australia during the war, who took responsibility for spreading information about the institute.

Talks held during the 1960 Glasgow symposium are believed to have led to the establishment of the International Union of Food Science and Technology and this body counts the IFT as one of its adherent bodies.

IFT leads the nation in the animal health business and plays an important role in the consumer health business. The institute collaborates with various multinational bodies in the food science industry to offer solutions that bridge the gap. That is, by using its amazing products and solutions, the vital needs of people around the world are met, in terms of food and healthy living.

In 1989, IFT was created and consolidated in the area of broiler chicken breeds, importation, marketing, and support of the best technically-proven poultry species. This first phase formed an excellent relationship between the institute and the consumers of the product.

The institute expanded its reach in 1994 when it began an operation for animal health by partnering with world-leading creators to enrich the Egyptian market with highly refined products and solutions. And, in 2006, they started Consumer Health, which is a subsidiary of Allied Company.

For the first time in the animal health business, IFT employed a business unit approach in 2007, leading to growth in realized sales and expansion into regions that began in 2008 when IFT Gulf was established and then IFN Iraq in 2009.

IFT aspirations

The institute envisions being a leader in animal health in the Middle East and playing a significant role in consumer health while using its innovations to solve traditional problems in its partnership with pioneering partner agencies.

About the IFT Scholarship

The internship program was created to link IFT student members to various professional bodies that would further broaden their knowledge of food science.

The internship program was designed to ensure that students are not wasted or sitting at home doing nothing during internships, but instead keep themselves busy, which when they do, is geared towards personal development and enlightenment and, at the same time, taking advantage of teamwork to enable sustainable growth. and development of both the IFT and the company or firm that trains them.
