Studying Korean in Korea is the best way to immerse yourself 100% in this captivating language and have the opportunity to practice it every day. As a requirement, in order to study Korean, you must have a bachelor’s degree and be over 18 years of age.
You can study Korean in 2 ways: intensively or with short individual courses of 1 or up to 5 weeks.
Many, practically all universities in Korea offer Korean language courses for foreigners.
Intensive Korean courses are divided into levels. Each level is 10 weeks, with classes 5 days a week and 4 hours a day, which is equivalent to a total of 200 hours of classes per level.
Classes have an average of between 12 and 16 students and are generally in the morning from 9 am to 1 pm. There are 4 levels per year and a complete Korean course contains 6 levels, which means that it takes 1 year and a half to complete it all.

Who is this scholarship addressed to?
The Global Ambassador Scholarship – GAS for International Masters Students – KDI School is offered by the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, a government-run graduate school located in the city of Sejong, South Korea, and affiliated with the Institute of Development of Korea and a member of the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences.
There are ample scholarship opportunities that are available to most students who are accepted for KDI school admission.

ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES
All scholarship benefits are intended primarily for countries included in the DAC List of ODA Recipient Nations, as published by the OECD. If a country is not named on the DAC List, applicants from these countries may receive a partial scholarship, rather than a full scholarship. ADMISSIONS PERIOD: Admissions are during the spring and fall
Spring: Masters and Ph.D. programs, full-time and part-time programs

Eligibility: International applicants who meet KDIS requirements
Program Duration: Masters (about 1 year, 3 semesters), PhD (at least 3 years)
Duration: 4 semesters (About 1.5 years)
Courses: At least 3 semesters (1 year) at KDI School
Project Writing research: in the country of origin
Class Schedule (daytime, 08:30 – 18:00)
Graduation Requirements: Minimum 39 credits (including research project)
