We are unlocking the potential of the next generation of global citizens, leaders, and change-makers at Western Sydney University. Our curriculum reflects the demands of the world we live in, with a focus on preparing our graduates to enter the workforce. We recognize that universities do not have a monopoly on information or education in today’s fast-paced and changing world. Western Sydney University places a high importance on diversity and acceptance of different cultures, both within the University community and in the larger region of Western Sydney, which has one of Australia’s most diverse populations. With students from all over the world, the university thrives as a hub of opportunity, variety, and innovation. Students at Western will be part of a vibrant, friendly, and culturally diverse community where they will make lifelong friends and connections.

We engage with business and industry leaders to build course content that fits the demands of employers, future jobs, and reacts to the problems of a global workplace. We pioneered a model of co-created learning that treats our strategic partners as co-creators in education. Our strategy recognizes that learning takes place outside of the classroom. Rather, we provide a blend of on-campus, online, and clinical learning environments, as well as real-world work experience in professional and community contexts. Graduates of Western Sydney University are ready to enter the workforce. The QS World University Rankings has also granted the University a five-star grade for employability. Students at Western have the chance to participate in internships, volunteer work, and job experience, all of which help them expand their skill sets and improve their employability. Western students can visit one of the most liveable cities on the planet, Sydney, which is located in the lovely metropolis of Sydney. Sydney has a sunny climate with moderate winters and warm summers, making it ideal for enjoying the city’s numerous beaches. Students will not want to miss Sydney’s year-round art, music, culinary, theatre, film, and design events, which have helped to put the city on the cultural map across the world. In collaboration with business, government, and higher education providers, our Western Growth plan is redefining the University’s campus network and co-creating cities and revolutionary educational infrastructure across the region. The University has two world-class, technology-enabled vertical campuses in the heart of Western Sydney’s key development centers – Parramatta and Liverpool – and a third high-rise campus in Bankstown city will open in 2022. These new campuses provide our students and staff with technology-rich learning, teaching, and research facilities, encourage collaboration with industry and business, and integrate the University with the Western Sydney region’s economic and civic life. Western Sydney University includes over 100 academic areas, over 3,300 staff members, and around 45,000 students from all over the world. Bankstown, Campbelltown, Hawkesbury, Parramatta, and Penrith are the five main campuses in Greater Western Sydney. While each campus has its own learning environment, they all have a pleasant, communal spirit that makes Western Sydney a terrific place to study and meet new people. Students on exchange and study abroad at Western Sydney can study at any campus, depending on the units they choose. From the countryside to the city, each of our campuses provides a unique learning environment. We have nine schools that provide a diverse range of courses, including business (AACSB-accredited), computing, engineering, and mathematics, education, humanities and communication arts, law, medical, nursing, and midwifery, science and health, and social sciences and psychology.
