Application for the Fulbright Foreign Student Program for Lebanon is now open for application for the academic year of 2024-2025. The US Embassy in Beirut and Amideast announce their application opening for the scholarship program which offers fully-funded awards for master’s degree Lebanese students who want to pursue their higher education in the United States.

Participants will also have a unique opportunity to encounter life in the United States and share Lebanon’s unique traditions, and cultural and social life with Americans. Participants are chosen through an open, merit-based contest in which leadership potential, academic greatness, and the capacity to adjust to life in the United States are completely considered. Once acknowledged into the Fulbright Program, every Fulbrighter becomes part of a worldwide organization of connected and committed Fulbright alumni.

About the Fulbright Program

Driven by the United States government in partnership with in excess of 160 countries worldwide, the Fulbright Program offers global educational and cultural trade programs for passionate and accomplished artists, teachers, students, and professionals to be equal, to study, instruct, or pursue significant research and professional projects.

The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs

The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) aims to increase a mutual understanding between individuals of the United States and individuals of different countries through educational and cultural trade that assists in the improvement of peaceful relations.

As ordered by the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange of 1961, the U.S. State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) works to build cordial, peaceful relations between individuals of the United States and individuals of different countries through academic, professional, sports and cultural exchanges, as well as public and private partnerships.

About Amideast

Amiseast established in 1951, is one of the leading American Non-profit organizations that participated in global education, preparation, and improvement activities in the Middle East and North Africa. They accept that self-manufactured, fulfilled lives lead to mutual respect, understanding, and a productive and peaceful world.

Their primary mission is to create opportunities and hopes for the young generations with life-changing education and cultural exchange. Developing more leaders who can contribute not only to the local community but also to a worldwide service for all nations. Aiming to strengthen the communities and institutions and build a cross-cultural understanding, especially for the empowerment of women and the youth.

Offering programs that engage the area’s youth and women took on new urgency following the onset of the Middle Easterner Spring in 2011 and the ensuing delayed malaise across much of the district. Against overpowering needs to be met, obviously, they expected to focus on our activities to further “trust, opportunity, and understanding.”
