RGU SPORT provides a variety of sports scholarships to deserving athletes in order to assist them in developing their abilities and achieving success in their chosen sporting sector while still pursuing academic studies. The annual scholarships are intended to assist students in all aspects of their pursuit of sporting achievement, including academics and extracurricular activities. The scholarship is not primarily concerned with providing financial support to beneficiaries, but rather with tailoring it to match the specific needs of each individual recipient on an individual basis. Scholarships are intended to assist students in all aspects of their pursuit of sporting achievement, including financial assistance. If it is through their athletic development, academic accomplishment, or the development of the individual as a result of their higher education experience, it is a positive development. Scholarships are awarded on a yearly basis to athletes who have reached or are on the verge of reaching national standards in their respective sports.

About the Scholarship:

Robert Gordon University is a contemporary institution of higher learning located in the Scottish city of Aberdeen. Despite the fact that it was established as an educational institution in the mid-18th century, it only received university status in 1992. Robert Gordon University places a major emphasis on vocational degrees, and it refers to itself as ‘The Professional University.’ It now has a little more than 16,000 students enrolled, with more than 1,000 of them being international students. Because of the University’s emphasis on professional education, it has one of the best graduate employment records in the country. It has been regarded as having the best graduating prospects of any university on a number of occasions in recent years, and it continues to rank among the best among modern universities. This is accomplished through strong ties with industry, particularly North Sea gas and oil corporations, as well as year-long work internships, which have become customary across all programs of study. Students who have the required grades for admission but do not meet the English language standards can enroll in an eight-week pre-sessional English program in order to improve their language skills before starting their studies. During the academic year, English language sessions are offered to students to better their education. These options include regular group lessons as well as one-on-one assistance. Robert Gordon University has nearly 1,500 beds available in its university housing, with first-year students guaranteed a bed in the residence hall. Both campuses have rooms, with the farthest being only 25 minutes’ walk away. A bus service connects the two campuses, which is convenient. Many of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, and studio apartments are also available. The University can also assist students in locating alternate housing options such as private residence halls or apartment buildings. Aberdeen, with a population of over 220,000 people, is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city. It has a diverse selection of museums, art galleries, cinemas, and concert venues, making it a cultural hotspot. With a diverse selection of well-known stores as well as boutiques, there are five shopping centers (including the spanking new Union Square center) to choose from. In addition, there are shops that sell locally-produced goods, as well as an international street market that is hosted at various times throughout the year. The Council, event partners, and members of the community work together to organize hundreds of local events The Granite (or Silver) City is also quite green, with a variety of parks and open spaces close to the city center, and it is frequently ranked among the top ten best places to live in the United Kingdom for quality of life. Aberdeen Airport has excellent connections with the rest of the United Kingdom, Europe, and the rest of the world. The university has a students’ union that provides assistance to the student community and seeks to improve the overall experience of students at the university. On-campus fitness and sports services are provided by the sports department, which serves both students and members of the general public. Academic departments, support departments, students, and commercial enterprises can all benefit from the services provided by The Gatehouse, the University’s design and printing consultant. When it comes to providing work chances for students, the university has a solid reputation. Furthermore, it is regarded as one of the best institutions in the country when it comes to offering work to graduates or students who are continuing their postgraduate studies six months after graduating from the institution. In addition, it has a large alumni network that extends throughout the country. Gordon Duthie (musician, singer, and songwriter), Maxwell Hutchinson (broadcaster, architect, and guitarist), Ola Gorie (jewelry designer), Eilidh Middleton (equestrian competitor), Hannah Miley (Olympian and swimmer), Frank Chapman (businessman), and Titi Horsfall are just a few of the notable alumni (author).
