To attract outstanding Kenya students to further their higher education in eligible and quality universities, the Regional Scholarship Opportunities proudly offered by the French Embassy in Kenya and Somalia for the academic year of 2022-2023 that aims to help them further their higher education and be one of the scholars to receive a fully-funded scholarship and the opportunity for their career developments and personal achievements.
The scholarship will be intended for two successful students with Master’s level degrees in the field of HUmanities, Social Science, and Engineering Science which can be taken in one of the best universities in Africa. The students can find the eligible university to which they can apply for their chosen program at the official website of the scholarship provider.

About the Provider
Campus France is the French national institution responsible for the promotion of higher education, the admission of foreign students, and international mobility. Its offices are branches of the French Embassy in Kenya and Somalia and the Alliance Française in Nairobi.

France has a large number of higher education programs for international students, Universities, Grandes Ecoles, and schools of art or architecture: international students who wish to study in France have many options. French higher education includes 2.5 million students. 12% of them come from abroad. They all benefit from a highly varied and enrolled education in all fields, at all levels.
In partnership with the Embassy in Kenya and Somalia, the students can now take advantage of the scholarship programs they offered, the partnership aims to help all the students to build their future and to contribute to their home country and to their communities.

Scholarship Eligibility
Before proceeding with the application process, students must meet the eligibility of the scholarship.
- Must be a Kenya citizen or classified as a resident of the eligible country.
- Must be holding a bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Engineering Science, and Social Science.
- Can demonstrate their academic excellence and achievements.
- Must have good communication skills in French. if the programs are taught in French and obtained a B2 level in French.
Level B2 is recommended for undergraduate and master’s programs and particularly in the humanities and social sciences. Level B2 is required for admission in the first year after DAP advance application for admission. Kenya students can get their certification from the Alliance Francaise.
Application Process
Eligible students can apply for admission to the eligible university listed for the scholarship, and as part of the scholarship application, the students must be able to submit the required documents to support their application.

Failure to complete the application will not be considered for the evaluation of the scholarship committee. It is important to attach all the necessary documents that can support your application. All submitted files will be validated by the Campus France Members.
Scholarship Awards
The selected Kenya students will be provided with the following benefits for the academic year of 2022-2023:
- Travel expenses
- Monthly living expenses
- Social Insurance
- €3,000 Tuition fee annually
Keep in mind that successful students must maintain their academic excellence and be able to report on their academic progress to be able to maintain the scholarship awards. The scholars must read and agree to the terms and conditions applied for the scholarship.
The decision for reviewing and evaluating the scholarship application will be final, the successful applicants will be receiving an email notification for the scholarship process and commencement date.
In France, the academic year begins in September or October, depending on the institution and program. It is decorated with public holidays, including two weeks at the end of the year. At the end of the first semester, the class was briefly interrupted due to an exam. Summer vacation begins in May or June with the end of the second-semester exams. Usually, this vacation lasts at least two months.
Scholarship Deadline
The deadline to complete and submit the application is until July 15, 2022. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered for evaluation and will be automatically rejected. However, the scholarship will be offered annually, the applicants who failed for the academic year of 2022-2023, may be able to apply for the next scholarship opening.
To be able to renew the application, the students must be able to maintain their academic progress.
