Heidelberg University is offering a PhD Scholarship in Defining Innate Immune Checkpoints Controlling Natural Killer Cell Recognition of Melanoma Cells to boost the education of high-achieving students in Germany.

The PhD candidate will use a CRISPR/Cas9-based immune-oncology screening methodology with primary NK cells, melanoma cells, and other tumor cells to validate currently existing candidates for anti-tumor activity utilizing in vitro and in vivo approaches. To encourage high-achieving individuals in Germany to pursue further education, Heidelberg University is giving PhD Scholarships in Defining Innate Immune Checkpoints Controlling Natural Killer Cell Recognition of Melanoma Cells.

The PhD candidate will use primary NK cells, melanoma cells, and other tumor cells in an immune-oncology CRISPR/Cas9-based screening methodology to validate existing candidates for anti-tumor activity in vitro and in vivo. Heidelberg University, founded in 1386, is a significant European research institution.
