About the Scholarship:

Goldsmiths, founded in 1891 and a part of the University of London since 1904, has a great academic tradition, but we’re also known for our innovative approach. They aim to provide a creative, supportive, and academic atmosphere for Masters and research degree students at Goldsmiths. They provide postgraduate programs in the arts, humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, computing, and entrepreneurial business and management. You will become a part of a great learning legacy the moment you enroll.

No other university has had such a profound influence on popular culture. Goldsmiths has an outstanding reputation as an academic and research school with a recognised strong arts and social sciences offering, and its alumni include numerous woThe main campus is built around a huge green space and runs over the busy, vibrant neighbourhood of New Cross; the campus includes the old university building, which opened in 1844, as well as several more recent departmental buildings. Goldsmiths welcomes foreign citizens who want to study abroad, and international students make up over 20% of the student body. Artists Damien Hurst, Antony Gormley, Lucian Freud, and film director Steve McQueen are among the notable alumni. Malcom McLaren, James Blake, and Katy B have all passed through the music department’s doors.
Goldsmiths has traditionally been known for its independence and free thinking, both as an institution and among its student body, and the university fosters an environment that is supportive and open to new ideas. The university now has 20 academic departments that offer doctoral and undergraduate degrees in subjects ranging from the arts, humanities, and social sciences to computing and business management. The institution consistently ranks highly in the UK and is recognized for its commitment to research, thanks in part to the university’s distinctive multidisciplinary approach.

Throughout their degree, all international students are granted priority for University housing. Goldsmiths has six independent blocks of university-approved accommodation within five minutes of the main campus, as well as five additional blocks available through a commercial operator. There are approximately 1,400 open spots in all. Every hall also has a staff team nearby, which includes administrative personnel, Resident Assistants, and security. The New York Times identified it as a “hub for creative genius,” and it was just awarded the best area to rent in South East London.

Goldsmiths is a small but mighty community located on a single-site campus in London’s dynamic New Cross, a location characterized as a creative talent hotspot by The New York Times. New Cross offers a bustling music and arts scene, wonderful restaurants, and buzzing cafes, as well as a truly diverse and eclectic populace. Furthermore, it is only a short distance from the heart of London, with all of its entertainment, services, and opportunities. This university’s facilities are excellent, featuring Art, TV, and Radio studios, as well as a plethora of other resources targeted at improving the experience of students on any of Goldsmith’s programmes. Making new connections is simple here thanks to Goldsmith’s extraordinarily active event calendar, which allows students to socialize without ever leaving campus.

The university’s New Cross campus in South East London is well recognized for its bustling arts and music scene, producing new and intriguing artists, producers, performers, and makers on a regular basis, many of whom go on to become cultural icons and pioneers in their areas. Goldsmiths is widely regarded for the quality of its research, particularly in the departments of Art, Design, Music, and Media & Communications.
