Scholarship details
The University of Aalto is known most for re-shaping the future for the better with its energy sustainable programs. While the university is relatively small in size with around 12,000 students in attendance, it is still highly regarded and a competitive university to be accepted to.
The university is also known to balance out the student population in accordance with 4,000 college faculty and 400 professors that are actively in attendance on campus.
Even better is the way to university is considered an international employer who aims to help students to receive jobs while paying their living expenses during their university term.
Eligibility
- All applicants that wish to have their applications read need to be non-EU/EEA citizens.
- All applicants must show excellent academic promise and succession.
- Any applicants that have academic awards or merits are highly considered.
- This is a highly competitive scholarship that will be fair to students who place in the top 10 – 15% of their student class.
Requirements
First, it should be noted that within the application form for the study option, the student will be asked questions about their potential liability to fees and how that will be determined. If the student is considered liable to a tuition fee, they will be offered an option to apply or not apply for an Aalto University Scholarship. It is not possible to apply for the scholarship after the application period has ended.
All viable transcripts and contact information must be correct while filling out the application otherwise the university academic board can revoke the scholarship.
Prospective students subject to tuition fees are eligible to apply for Aalto University Scholarship. Certain international joint degree programs have their own tuition fees and scholarship schemes. Aalto University reserves all rights to make changes to the scholarship program at any time or convenience.
How to Apply
The only way to apply for these scholarships is via online, not through the post. Also, the applicants that are chosen after selection will be based on academic merit and excellence.
The normative study period is three full years based on the study for the bachelor’s degree a student is taking, and two full years dedicated to studying for their Master’s degree. The scholarship requires a full turnaround according to the approved personal study plan.
Reward
The Aalto Univerisity Scholarship Program looks to aid students who need help covering a large portion of their tuition fees. This means the scholarship covers 50% to 100% of the tuition. However, the way it will be stated on the scholarship website is for 50% (Category B) and 100% (Category A).
So students could receive either depending on their financial-base needs.
However, for Finland, there is technically no university that covers the wide scope of living expenses. This is to encourage international students to enter the Finland workforce within the country.
Deadline
The deadline is January 1, 2022, which is the expected deadline for the new year. This 2022 deadline will go towards the 2023 school year. Be sure to check back to see if the deadline expectancy has changed.
Annual
This is an annual scholarship program that can last for a duration of 3-years.
