DURATION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP

The maximum period of the Taiwan Scholarship is 4 years for bachelor’s degrees (undergraduates) and doctorates. 2 years for master’s degrees.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: If the scholarship recipient decides to transfer their studies to another university after their first semester, the beginning semester at the new university will be considered as their second semester from their arrival in Taiwan, therefore, the scholarship recipient will not be entitled to claim the semester at the new university as if it were his “first semester”.

What benefits do the Taiwan Scholarships offer for Ecuadorians?

The Taiwan Scholarship is a partial scholarship where the beneficiary is assigned a semester and monthly amount to cover expenses related to studies such as tuition, academic credits, and living expenses, therefore, any additional value that cannot be covered with these Items must be assumed by the beneficiary of the scholarship.

DETAILS OF THE ITEMS COVERED BY THE TAIWAN SCHOLARSHIP:

a. Coverage of up to NTD 40,000 each semester for tuition, payment of academic credits, and other items related to studies.
b. Any amount that exceeds NTD 40,000 will be the responsibility of the student, although there are universities that offer to help cover the excess.
c. Monthly allowance of NTD 15,000 for bachelor’s degrees (undergraduate), and NTD 20,000 for master’s and doctorate degrees, for general living expenses. (1 USD = 27.8 New Taiwan Dollars (NTD) approximately)
