The ENS is one of the leading French institutions for higher education and research. It is a member of the Université PSL (Paris Sciences et Lettres), which ranks among the top 50 universities in the world. The ENS aims to train the future leaders of academia, culture, and society by providing them with a multidisciplinary education and a stimulating intellectual environment.

Scholarship Provider

The ENS and the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation fund the International Selection Scholarship. It is intended to attract the best international students who demonstrate outstanding academic potential and motivation.

Eligible Applicants

The scholarship is open to students of any nationality who are not older than 25 on December 31st of the year of application. Applicants must have completed or be in the process of completing their undergraduate studies in a foreign university. They must also have an excellent command of the French language, as most of the courses are taught in French.

Host Country

The scholarship is hosted by the ENS in Paris, France. The ENS is located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, a historical and cultural district of the city. The ENS offers its students access to a rich and diverse academic and social life, as well as a network of prestigious partners and alumni.

Scholarship Worth

The scholarship covers the full tuition fees and a monthly stipend of 1,000 euros for three years. It also provides health insurance, social security, and cultural activities. The scholarship recipients are expected to live in one of the ENS residences, which offer comfortable and affordable accommodation.

Level and Field of Study

The scholarship is available for master’s level studies in the following fields: Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Exact Sciences, and Life Sciences. The scholarship recipients can choose from a wide range of disciplines and programs offered by the ENS and its partner institutions within the Université PSL.
