With over 150 higher education institutions, including some of the world’s most prestigious and top-ranked universities, the United Kingdom (UK) attracts a wide range of international students from around the world each semester.

Centrally located between Europe and North America, the UK is one of the most popular studies abroad destinations in the world

With a study culture steeped in heritage, as well as strong research credentials, it offers international students an attractive range of higher education institutions and programs.

Together, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales make up the United Kingdom. The UK Parliament (located in London) houses representatives from each nation and helps forge a common British identity.

However, the English, Scottish, Welsh, and Northern Irish cultures are and remain distinguishable from one another.

Each nation has its own traditions in music, cuisine, language, and education. Not only does this help reinforce national identity (as well as fuel intense rivalries on the sports fields and at the tables), but it also makes each nation a must-visit destination in its own right.

English is, of course, the main language of the UK, as well as the mother tongue of 360 million people around the world. It is spoken as a second language by half a billion people and, thanks to the relative ease with which it can be learned, it has become the language of international business, travel, and entertainment.

Studying in the UK is a great way to improve your English skills. There is no shortage of accredited institutions in the UK, with over 600,000 students a year choosing specialist language schools, further education colleges, or universities to improve their English proficiency.

Are you studying in Colombia? Earn 3,000 euros for your university education. British Council in conjunction with IELTS recognizes the efforts of international students who want to be part of the university conglomerate and fulfill their academic dreams.

Through a support program promoted by both entities, you will have the opportunity to participate in a fund of 3,000 euros, which will be used for your education at the institution associated with the British Council and IELTS.

It is a financial support option for all those applicants who, through their academic merits, are deserving of this financial aid. The British Council and IELTS promote a level playing field in order to support the academic growth of students from developing countries.

How do I win this prize?

As an international student, you must have completed and completed a successful English language assessment in a recent period, between September 1st and 15th, 2022, it is necessary that you have achieved a score of at least 5.5.

In addition, it is important that you already have a university place in an institution subscribed to the program issued by the British Council.

IELTS rigorously certifies command of the English language as it is one of the language tests recognized throughout the world.
