All international and domestic students who hold a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in social sciences, preferably a doctorate, are eligible to apply for this position. On the basis of their academic merits, the students will be selected and granted a monthly wage of € 5.922 for up to one year.

About the Scholarship:

In collaboration with Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Erasmus University College (EUC) offers an international undergraduate honors program. We provide a program that is highly regarded. Opens to the public, as do most University Colleges, and is well-liked by both students and faculty. Erasmus University College has joined the already remarkable portfolio of Erasmus University Rotterdam and is able to provide students with the greatest facilities and curriculum available for its multidisciplinary Bachelor in Liberal Arts and Sciences program. EUC provides a three-year Bachelor of Science degree program in Liberal Arts and Sciences (BSc). Think of the curriculum as having both breadth and depth, in that you will be required to investigate many different areas of academics in order to gain perspective and make connections between fields. You will be trained in academic skills that will allow you to put your knowledge to use. You will eventually become a specialist in a particular field by selecting ‘Majors’ in one of our four departments, which will prepare you for a master’s degree or a career path in one of 1,000 possible areas after graduation. The Economics and Business Department, the Humanities Department, the Life Sciences Department, and the Social and Behavioural Sciences Department are the four departments that make up EUC. EUC’s educational philosophy is based on the concept of small-scale, interactive, and empowering learning settings. Every student is required to participate in and contribute to the learning process while working in groups of 12-15 students under the guidance of a tutor. The most well-known active style to education at EUC is called Problem Based Learning, in which students take the initiative and everyone is a full participant in the learning process. Our multicultural classroom includes students from all over the world, each bringing their own set of experiences and paradigms to the table, ensuring that no two classroom experiences at EUC are the same as the next. We are a residential program, which means that you will live with your fellow first-year students from all around the world during your time here. Your house is located in the heart of Rotterdam’s city center, only a ten-minute walk from the Erasmus University Center. Living with your peers improves your social life while also having a favorable impact on your academic performance. Finding people to work with in a group has never been easier, and mixing with people from different cultures broadens your horizons and helps you become a more well-rounded global citizen. The first year at EUC is a fertile environment for the formation of lifelong connections and the establishment of a powerful global network. This beautifully renovated landmark is located in the heart of Rotterdam, the most cosmopolitan city in the Netherlands, right in the heart of the city center. The all-inclusive amenities in our facility, as well as the stimulating ambiance, ensure that EUC continues to function as a tightly knit academic community. For their first year of study, Erasmus University College (EUC) requires its students to live at the LUCIA house in the city center, which is managed by the university. Living together with your fellow students provides a fantastic opportunity to get to know one another well and to form lasting connections with your roommates. With the amount of group work required for academic success at EUC, living together makes it easier to organize group meetings and, in general, strengthens the broader academic community. This is critical to our perspective of what makes a successful university college. Additionally, living on campus offers the advantage of allowing you to concentrate on your studies right away because your housing has already been provided for you by the university. During your second and third years of study at EUC, you will be responsible for making your own arrangements for your living circumstances. However, in contrast to other cities, Rotterdam provides a plethora of options for student housing, and both the EUC Student Life Officer and the Erasmus University College Student Association (EUCSA) are available to provide help and support in this area.
