The Beautiful Minds Challenge program is an annual scholarship and awards competition that rewards creative ideas and expression. Each fall, students ages 15-19 are invited to submit a project that responds to a new invitation. This could be your year!
THE CHALLENGE
The Beautiful Minds 2023 challenge asks you to identify a problem your generation is facing and explain how it works or how it could work to find a solution.
Scholarship Details
The Challenge of Beautiful Minds is currently the only way to earn a full scholarship at Marlboro College. The scholarships cover up to eight semesters of study, as long as the recipients remain in good standing at the university and community levels.
These semesters do not need to be consecutive. The Beautiful Minds Challenge scholarships. they are carried out according to the same criteria as merit awards.

Level/field of study
The Beautiful Minds Challenge Scholarship is open to all teens ages 15-19 who have not yet enrolled in college.
The program’s Beautiful Minds Challenge Scholarship can be taken in any field of study.
Host nationality
The Beautiful Minds Challenge Scholarship is taken and hosted in the United States.
Eligible Nationality
The beautiful Minds Challenge Scholarship is open to all countries. Interested students are those who intend to enroll at Marlboro College USA.
Scholarship Worth
The top 12 students who are high school seniors (or their equivalent) and who intend to enroll in Marlboro College in the fall of 2023 will be eligible for a full or partial scholarship.
The scholarships cover eight semesters at Marlboro, as long as the student remains in good standing.
The top three high school students in their freshmen, sophomores, or juniors (or equivalent) are eligible to receive cash prizes: $1,000 for first place, $750 for second place, and $500 for third place.
Students who have won a cash prize in 2023 are not eligible to win another cash prize but may participate in the following challenges for a scholarship and/or honorable mention and a trip to the Symposium.
Eligibility for the Beautiful Minds Challenge Scholarship 2023
The Beautiful Minds Challenge is open to all teens ages 15-19 who have not yet enrolled in college.
You can work on a project alone or with up to two teammates. Teams with more than three members will not be eligible for prizes or symposium participation.
To be eligible for a scholarship, students must be high school senior (or equivalent) who wishes to enroll at Marlboro College for Fall 2023 and submit a completed application form by January 15, 2023, in addition to submission to the Beautiful Minds Challenge.
Submissions from international students and students from home are welcome!
How to apply
To be considered for a scholarship, the student must:
- Submit a Beautiful Minds completed the project on December 15, 2023.
- Submit a completed application to Marlboro College by January 15, 2023.
- Be accepted into Marlboro for registration in the fall of 2023.
Scholars from the Beautiful Minds Challenge are not eligible for further merit support at Marlboro but may receive additional assistance on an as-needed basis to cover the cost of additional housing, lodging, accommodation, and tuition based on the financial situation of their family.
