About the Scholarship:

Federation University Australia (FedUni) was established in 1870, making it the country’s fourth oldest tertiary education institution. After the merging of Monash University’s Gippsland Campus and the University of Ballarat in 2014, it was given its current name. By instilling the requisite skills, aptitude, and information, they aim to make their pupils productive global citizens.

Ballarat, Brisbane, Berwick, Wimmera, and Gippsland all have campuses. The institution is well-known for its research, and the university’s Sports Science research is excellent, with Shanghai rankings ranging from 101 to 150 in 2017. In Ballarat, there are three campuses, with the University Drive, Mt Helen site being roughly 10 kilometers from the city center. It is spread out across 110 hectares and can accommodate 4,500 students. On the SMB Campus, you’ll find cutting-edge engineering and construction facilities, as well as brand-new classrooms and computer labs. The Arts Academy is located on the Camp Street campus in Ballarat. The Gippsland site in Churchill spans 60 acres and houses science, midwifery, and nursing laboratories. The Wimmera campus, at 289 Baillie Street in Horsham, has specialized and sophisticated training facilities. The Berwick campus is a new structure set within extensive grounds and gardens about 40 kilometers from Melbourne’s CBD. Students can live, study, and enjoy a high-quality living on the Brisbane, Queensland campus. In Australia, the university is ranked 31st out of 40 universities. There were 14,466 local students and 8,978 international students at the university in 2018. A total of 5,805 students were enrolled in TAFE programs. Students at FedUni have the opportunity to join over 30 clubs and societies across all campuses, depending on their interests. Federation University Australia has a long history of successful graduates. Geologist William Baragwanath, wheelchair basketball player Sandy Blythe, opera singer Jacqueline Dark, human rights diplomat William Roy Hodgson, and artist Marcus Wills are among others who have been honored. Other famous FedUni alumni include actress Libby Tanner, physicist and Antarctic explorer Richard W Richards, sports reporter Brad McEwan for Ten Network, and Martin Andanar, the Philippines’ press secretary under the Duterte administration. Olympic marathon runner Steve Moneghetti received an honorary degree from the University of Ballarat. Dr. Cyril P. Callister, the developer of Vegemite, was also a student at the university. In the prestigious Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2021, Federation was placed in the top 201 – 250 young universities in the world. Our outstanding commitment to teaching, research, industrial relationships, and the international community has earned us this ranking. Mount Helen, School of Mines and Industries (SMB), and Camp Street are the university’s three Ballarat campuses, as well as campuses in Gippsland, the Wimmera, Berwick, and Brisbane, Queensland.
Approximately 20,000 foreign and domestic students attend FedUni. FedUni is dedicated to serve regional Victorian communities while also maintaining a national and international perspective. FedUni combines a solid legacy of tertiary education spanning more than 145 years with the independence and dynamism that comes with being a multi-sector university with close ties to local industry and technology. It is a rich and diverse experience to live and study in Australia. It is a big cosmopolitan country, and students are well-positioned to visit Australia’s southern coastline’s sandy beaches. Federation University provides three campuses for international students in Ballarat and Gippsland, as well as a city campus in Melbourne, which is consistently ranked as one of the world’s most livable cities. Federation University’s global network is expanded by an additional city campus in Brisbane, Queensland, as well as foreign partner providers in China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. Around 18,000 full-time students attend the university, with approximately 2,170 international students. Many students discover internship possibilities while studying at Federation University, which is ranked first in Victoria for graduate employment and starting income. The institution collaborates closely with industry experts to ensure that graduates enter the workforce with all of the essential skills and experience to succeed in their chosen fields. Our Victorian campuses in Ballarat, Berwick, and Gippsland offer a beautiful setting for your studies. Regardless of which campus you pick, you will gain significant international experience by studying in a high-quality setting and having the option to visit a campus in Australia with beautiful natural beauty. If city living is more your style, our Brisbane campus is located in Queensland’s capital city, which is considered among the world’s finest lifestyle cities.
