jpke scholarships are  Fully Funded Scholarships for High School Dropouts. Which is available to pursue an undergraduate and postgraduate program at the University of Brunei Darussalam [UBD], Islam Sultan Sharif Ali university [UNISSA], and the Brunei Institute of Technology [ITB].

What are Jpke looking for scholarships to achieve?

Brunei Scholarships for International Students 2022 aims to provide opportunities for ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level school leavers who are Brunei Citizens to pursue higher education in the private institutions to achieve Wawasan Brunei 2035 to provide financial assistance to qualified students who are unable to pursue higher education at private institutions due to high tuition rates.

It also aims to reduce the number of local job seekers with low qualifications and lowers the unemployment rate.

Furthermore, Brunei aims to promote the education industry in the private sectors and its contribution to national economic growth.

Level/field of study

Scholarships are available for pursuing an undergraduate and postgraduate program at the University of Brunei Darussalam [UBD], Islam Sultan Sharif Ali university [UNISSA], and the Brunei Institute of Technology [ITB].

The subject of study: scholarships are awarded for courses offered by the UBD, UNISSA, and ITB at different levels.

What can I get from Brunei Scholarships?

Successful Brunei Scholarship applicants or candidates are entitled to the following benefits:

i) Excluded from payment of tuition fees, including acceptance, exam, registration, and orientation fees for the duration of the program;

ii) An economy class air ticket to Brunei Darussalam from the country of origin/country of the scholarship recipient before the start of the course and an economy class air ticket from Brunei Darussalam to the country of origin/country of the scholarship recipient at the finish the course;

iii) A personal allowance of BND$500.00 monthly

iv) A food allowance of BND$150.00 each month.

v) An annual book allowance of BND$600.00;

vi) Accommodation in the residential college of the University / Polytechnic;

vii) Baggage allowance for sending the personal effects of the scholarship beneficiary to their country of origin/country of residence at the end of the program, for a maximum amount of:

BND$250.00 to a country within the ASEAN region; or

BND$500.00 to a country outside the ASEAN region;

viii) All-risk insurance coverage for the entire duration of the Scholarship. The scholarship recipient is urged to obtain additional insurance prior to their travel to Brunei Darussalam and throughout the duration of the scholarship at their own expense.

Also, for Brunei citizens, the BPTV scholarship scheme will cover 100% of all tuition fees. Payment is not required. Additionally, students will receive 45 BND per month for a transportation allowance.

For permanent residents, the BPTV scholarship scheme will subsidize tuition. Students will only pay a monthly fee of BND200 per month.

The scholarship is not for all students around the world. Students who are eligible to apply include:

eligibility requirements

The JPKE Scholarships 2022 is specifically for citizens of Brunei. Other requirements include the following:

  • All newly completed ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level students who meet the course entry requirements for study at private institutions.
  • Recently completed means those who have just completed their ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Level or their equivalents no more than 2 years ago.
  • Applications are open to, but not limited to, citizens of ASEAN, Commonwealth, and OIC member countries.
  • Applicants must be nominated by their government.
  • Applicants must be certified to be medically fit to undertake the scholarship and study in Brunei Darussalam, by a qualified medical doctor who is registered with any Government Authority before arriving in Brunei Darussalam.
  • The costs incurred in the cause of obtaining this certification will be borne by the applicant.
  • Applicants applying for undergraduate and diploma programs must be between the ages of 18 and 25 for undergraduate and diploma programs and must not exceed the age of 35 for graduate programs on July 31, 2022.
  • The prize is NOT eligible for permanent residents of Brunei Darussalam.
  • English Language Requirements: At least one credit out of six in the English language at the GCE Ordinary level or a valid IELTS score of 6.0 or a minimum overall score of TOEFL 550 or its equivalent.
  • International scholarships for students.
