The Zicklin School of BUssines scholarship is held at the Baruch College, which is located in New York City, New York. This college is one of few in the big city that is considered a public college. More importantly, this institution is connected to the constituent college of the City University of New York school and higher learning systems.

However, the name of the school was gained from Bernard M. Baruch. Since the college began, it has operated with solely undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Which then and currently only work with the Zicklin School of Business and the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences. Along with all international schools connected to the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs.

This institution is part of many secondary colleges within the New York school system. Dating back to the mid-1800s, with the Free Academy – the Free Academy is the first official “official” public schooling system in United States history. Since then, a certain foundation called “The New York State Literature” helped students who could simply not afford living expenses in the city, to instead work with students who could become members of New York’s public secondary school institutions. Since New York in the 1800s was only categorized as a private ivy league nation, it was difficult for students who came from lower-income families to even attempt to receive higher education. That’s why the foundation was created.

Technically, the name that did stick was The College City of New York, which is what it is still referred to today. However, people abbreviate the title. During the 1900s, the name Baruch College would come into play and become somewhat established as a city school. Even for the later 1920s, this college had attracted such soon-to-be alumni that the school was better known for its business ethic and networking. Since New York boomed even more further into the 1920s and all the way into World War II.

This is a highly tough public school to be admitted to even though it’s a public education spot. But since this college is situated in one of the most fascinating and fastest-growing cities, spots for admission fill up very very quickly. According to over 10 years of statistics, when around 20,000 students apply for admissions, only roughly 5,000 are chosen and picked from the batch. That is only considered a mere 30% possibility for most students to be chosen by the panel of judges who works with admissions.

Another reason why Baruch is so popular is that there is a huge success rate in graduating student classes, around 80% of all students continue on to engage a further higher learning degree, mainly Ph.D.

Eligibility

  • For this specific scholarship, students must be working towards a field major that is exactly the program called: Master of Science in Real Estate degree program.
  • Only students who are attending the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College may apply.

  • The point is that a student must be studying real estate if they intend to apply for this $5,000 scholarship.

When applying for any scholarship, it is without a doubt a bit of a hassle. Yet, all that stress doesn’t mean you can’t apply to multiple and in fact, most colleges would prefer that a student would apply to several scholarships that they work with as an institution. As a matter of fact, here is a list of international fully-funded MBA scholarships, that international student should look for. Students should be mindful when applying to several scholarships are should keep track of which ones they have applied to and which ones they have yet to apply to as this will create a better guideline for applicants.
