- The Scholarship will have a total value of $5,000 per academic year (provided that sufficient funds are available), which will be disbursed in four equal payments of $2,500 following the census date of each semester. Scholarships will be awarded on a proportional basis to part-time students.
Eligibility for Scholarship.
- Candidates for the Scholarship are required to:
- must be a citizen of Australia or New Zealand, a permanent resident of Australia, or a holder of a permanent visa for humanitarian purposes; and
- be enrolled in a first-year undergraduate degree at Flinders University and studying in the internal (on-campus) method; and
- having completed and passed a minimum of 36 units of this programme while enrolled at Flinders University; and
- be able to provide evidence of financial hardship; and
- have a grade point average of 4.5 or higher.
Both academic achievement and financial need will be considered when selecting recipients for the scholarship. All students who satisfy the aforementioned requirements for eligibility are strongly encouraged to apply; however, applications may be prioritized according to the following criteria:
1. Students who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
2. Students studying in the STEM fields who are female
3. Any and all remaining qualified applicants
The candidate(s) will be chosen in accordance with the procedures that have been approved by the university in accordance with the procedures that have been approved by the university.
The Global Scholarship Exams are held for students in Mongolia, Vietnam, South Africa, and Chad. They are run by Bay Atlantic University in the United States.
