The Institution of Melbourne is the most respected university in Australia, as well as a global leader in education, teaching, and research. It continues to be one of the world’s first institutions, enriching and improving lives.

Why should you consider studying at the University of Melbourne? The curriculum of the institution is unusual in that it gives students a greater awareness of the world beyond their degree. UniMel graduates are adaptive, agile, and prepared to tackle any future problems as a consequence of their great education and in-depth knowledge.

About the Scholarship:

The Institution of Melbourne is Australia’s top-ranked university, ranking 334th in the world (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2015 – 2016). Studying at The University of Melbourne is a one-of-a-kind experience in which students combine a vibrant academic and social life on a beautiful campus with the attractions of Melbourne, which is ranked as the world’s most liveable city by The Economist. By offering a variety of career programs and tools, the Melbourne Careers Centre assists students in developing their employability and career management skills.

The Centre also collaborates with faculties to include career development learning within the academic curriculum. Furthermore, the Centre collaborates closely with companies and professional organisations to strengthen their capacities and foster beneficial relationships between them, the University, and students. Internships, leadership experiences, and volunteering are all available to our undergraduate students at Melbourne. Outside of the classroom, some of the most fascinating discoveries are discovered, which is why we urge you to include practical learning as part of your Melbourne experience. We’d also want to know a little bit about our students.

As part of your transition to university, you will meet with a specialized Student Connect adviser one-on-one to discuss what university is all about, why you’re here, and where you want to go. We’ll motivate and encourage you to do your best. There are 11 academic institutions on the campus, including research institutes like as the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, the Walter and Eliza Institute of Medical Research, and the Grattan Institute. University students have the option to study about all courses before deciding on a specific subject in their field of interest.

Furthermore, students will be guided by professors who will not only provide a fundamental comprehension of the inside programs but also of the outside activities, giving them with a wide range of experience and information. Additionally, the team offers tutoring to students who are experiencing difficulty with their studies. More than 48,000 students are enrolled, with 13,000 coming from all around the world. In addition, the campus hosts cultural events such as theatre, film, comedy, and public lectures. In addition, the institution is involved with approximately 200 organizations and organisations, including Chess clubs, Women in Science and Engineering, and the Chocolate Lover’s Society. The current Melbourne University Sports Association replaces the previous Melbourne Sports Union.

The University has also engaged in a variety of sports programs, including National Cycling contests. In addition, the University founded a Tennis Club for its faculty and students. The Melbourne University offers an Accelerator Program to help students improve their talents. The program comprises public events, workshops, feeder programs, and on-stage connections with businesses. This curriculum addresses major issues in medical devices and hardware, web solutions, technology, and software. The accelerator program was recognized in the University Business Incubator Index’s global list of the top 25 incubators. Moreover, among the Notable Alumni of Melbourne University are Julia Gillard (Former Prime Minister of Australia), Emeritus Professor Gillian Triggs (Human Rights Commissioner), George Megalogenis (Political Commentator), and Professor Ian H Frazer (Leader of the Groundbreaking Gardasil Vaccine).

Melbourne has a moderate oceanic climate and is well renowned for its unpredictable weather. This is primarily owing to Melbourne’s location on the border between extremely hot inland areas and the chilly Southern Ocean. This temperature discrepancy is particularly pronounced in the spring and summer months, and it can result in the formation of very strong cold fronts. These cold fronts can provide extreme weather ranging from gales to severe thunderstorms and hail, huge temperature reductions, and heavy rain. In the winter, Melbourne is colder than the state capitals of other mainland Australian states. The lowest temperature ever recorded is -2.8 °C, but snowfalls are uncommon. Winter frosts and fog are more common in Melbourne. It can be rather cold, so bring a nice “Canadian” fall jacket, not just a windbreaker!
