The Research Training Program Stipend is now open for application for the 2024 scholarship round. The scholarship program offered by the Federal Government of Australia in cooperation with Murdoch University aims to support both local and international students to fulfill their higher education in a Master of Doctorate degree in Australia.
The Research Training Program stands as a unified and adaptable reservoir, designed to extend its assistance to an array of local and international scholars who harbor aspirations of embarking on the profound journey of research within the realms of Master’s and Doctorate programs. This innovative initiative not only seeks to provide financial support but also serves as a conduit for nurturing intellectual growth and cross-cultural academic collaborations, ensuring that the pursuit of knowledge knows no bounds or borders.
The Research Training Program (RTP) allocates annual block grants to higher education providers (HEPs) to facilitate research doctorate and research masters degrees, collectively referred to as higher degrees by research (HDRs), for both domestic and international students.
RTP’s primary goals encompass the following:
- Versatile Funding: Offering adaptable financial support to foster the training of Australian and international students engaged in HDRs within Australian HEPs.
- Skill Enrichment: Equipping graduates with essential competencies for thriving careers in academia as well as diverse sectors of the job market.
- Enhancing Collaboration: Nurturing partnerships between HEPs, industries, and other research stakeholders to promote knowledge exchange and impactful outcomes.
- Global Learning Hub: Extending support to overseas students pursuing HDR studies within Australian HEPs.
