Universia Foundation scholarships | Nestlé Intech are 3 scholarships, of 3,000 thousand euros each, for university students with disabilities with a STEM profile, which will allow them to improve their digital skills in order to be able to apply for a greater number of job opportunities once the Program has finished. They are aimed at students who live in Spain.

This program, which has been promoted by Nestlé, with the collaboration of the Universia Foundation, with the aim of promoting the socio-labor inclusion of people with disabilities, helping to make the principle of equal opportunities effective through inclusive education, Therefore, only those people who have a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33% may participate.

OBJECTIVES

The objective of the program “FUNDACIÓN UNIVERSIA SCHOLARSHIPS | NESTLÉ INTECH” is the granting of scholarships for university students with disabilities to develop their key skills and boost their professional experience. Through this program, Nestlé contributes to its purpose of improving people’s quality of life and to the corporate principle of offering an example of good labor and human rights practices in all its business activities.

RECIPIENTS OF THIS PROGRAM

People with disabilities who are Spanish or residents in Spain who, in addition, meet the selection criteria provided below, may be beneficiaries of this Program.

This Program has been designed and promoted by Fundación Universia, with the collaboration of Nestlé, with the aim of promoting the socio-labor inclusion of people with disabilities, helping to make the principle of equal opportunities effective through inclusive education, Therefore, only those people who have a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33% may participate.

Obtaining a scholarship from the Program will be compatible with that of other types of aid of a welfare nature of a nature other than that of the object of this Program, whatever its public or private origin, to which the student who carries out the internship can access. under the same.

PLACES AVAILABLE IN THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Program contemplates the granting of up to THREE (3) scholarships to people with disabilities to study specific IT training, which will be developed during the academic year of 2022. The scholarships are for the completion of specialized courses that will be developed in accordance with the details that are shown later.

BASIC SELECTION CRITERIA 

For the allocation of Scholarships, the following selection criteria will be considered and evaluated:
The provided curriculum vitae.
The applicant’s IT profile and knowledge, technical skills, and competencies.
Fluent knowledge and use of English.
Accredited disability, type, and degree.

MANAGEMENT OF THE SCHOLARSHIP

It will be an unavoidable condition for obtaining a scholarship to register for the Program call through the Santander Scholarships platform enabled for such purposes www.becas-santander.com. The notification of the award of the scholarship will be communicated through the management system enabled on the aforementioned platform.

The registration of the candidates must be made between March 10 and June 30, 2022, at 23:59 GMT+2 (Madrid time zone), notwithstanding that the deadlines may be modified.
In their registration in the call, applicants must provide the documentation listed in section III (Documentation to be provided) of these legal bases.

ALLOCATION OF SCHOLARSHIPS

Once the registration phase has been completed, the Selection Forum may contact the candidates to request certain additional information, including a copy of the official certificate of disability, as stated above. Once the Selection Forum has validated the information provided by the shortlisted candidates, the Scholarships will be assigned to the candidates through the Santander Scholarships platform.

The selection process and the communication of the assignment of the 3 places to the participants will be carried out between July 1 and July 15, 2022, both inclusive.
Such assignment will be communicated to the participant, who will have a period of 7 calendar days from the date and time of the communication to accept it, all through the website www.becas-santander.com.

At the end of the term, in the event that there are assigned places that have not been accepted by the participants, the Selection Forum will assign the scholarships to other participants who meet the aforementioned admission requirements or other additional ones that the Selection Forum has available well to consider with the aim that the scholarships are not deserted.

For a Scholarship to be considered awarded, the selected person must:
accept the check corresponding to the acceptance of the aid on the Santander Scholarships platform.

Communicate, through the Santander Scholarships platform, the IBAN of the Banco Santander, SA bank account into which the amount of the aid will be paid, if applicable. The person selected must be the owner or co-owner of said account.

For the allocation of the scholarships and validation of the requirements indicated above, a Selection Forum will be set up made up of two representatives from Nestlé and two representatives from Fundación Universia.

The Selection Forum, in order to make it easier for the Program to benefit the greatest number of participants, if at any time it estimates that the planned scholarships will not be assigned, or there is an excessive demand for them, it may decide to apply other requirements. of admission for the allocation of scholarships, even extending the term for applicants to be able to apply for them.

Likewise, in the event that there are assigned scholarships that have not been accepted by the participants, the Selection Forum may assign the scholarships to other participants who meet the aforementioned admission requirements or other additional ones that the aforementioned Selection Forum has to offer. well to consider with the objective that the scholarships would not be deserted.

Having completed the registration, the Selection Forum reserves the right to request some additional information through the Santander Scholarships platform to validate that the candidates meet all the admission criteria, such as a copy of the official certificate of disability issued by IMSERSO or by the equivalent body of the Autonomous Community. The official disability certificate will be removed from the Becas Santander platform once it has been verified that the candidate meets the disability requirement.

MODIFICATION OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE PROGRAM

The fact of attending this Program Call implies acceptance by the participants of its Terms and Conditions and their resolution, which will be final, as well as the waiver of any type of claim on any aspect provided for in them, without the intention of being exhaustive, aspects such as assignment, selection and admission criteria.

Fundación Universia reserves the right to modify or rectify any of the Terms and Conditions of the Program Announcement, partially or totally at any time, and may even suspend, postpone or cancel it, based on an objective and duly justified cause, and with the purpose of preserving the social impact that Fundación Universia pursues with this Call. In any case, the candidates will be informed about the modifications or rectifications introduced through the website www.becas-santander.com.

What benefits do the Universia Foundation Scholarships offer | Nestle Intech?

1. The maximum amount that will be used to finance this Program will be THREE THOUSAND EUROS (3,000.-€) for each of the three scholarships.
2. TAXATION OF THE PROGRAM

The corresponding tax regulations in force at all times will be applied to the scholarships and, specifically, the provisions regarding Personal Income Tax and that on occasions could give rise to the practice of withholdings on account of the aforementioned Tax by Fundación Universia and at the birth of the obligation for the beneficiary of the scholarship to include the corresponding amounts in their annual income tax return (compliance with the tax obligations of the beneficiary of the scholarship will be their responsibility). sole responsibility).
