Scholarship details
The Carlos Slim Scholarship for the Promotion of Health Research is granted by the Carlos Slim Foundation with the purpose of providing facilities to young doctors who are studying a medical specialty or subspecialty with projects that contribute to the improvement of Public Health in the country.
TARGET POPULATION. Resident doctors studying a specialty or subspecialty in any of the following Public Hospitals of the National Health System:

12. National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery “Manuel Velasco Suárez”

DURATION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship is valid for 12 months, starting in May 2022. Exceptionally, the scholarship may be renewed for another period equal to the criteria of the FCS (endorsement), subject to the results obtained during the first 12 months (Report of Results), to the solidity of the justification to continue the investigation and to the availability of the budget.

It will be positively valued that the research is focused on areas relevant to public policy, in the following areas: chronic diseases, genomics, vaccinology, digital health, mental health, maternal and child health, transplants, and palliative care.
PRESENTATION OF PROGRESS REPORT
From January 9 to 24, 2023, a progress report of the investigation carried out must be submitted, which must include a summary, results, and conclusions. This file will be saved as “Ex. Report_results_chávez_oscar”. Failure to comply with this point will warrant the suspension of payment for the last 3 months and the cancellation of the scholarship. There will be no extension for the delivery of said Report.
All the information provided may be used for the preparation of statistics and/or publications through the digital media of the Carlos Slim Foundation.
DELIVERY OF THE COMPUTER EQUIPMENT
Scholars residing in Mexico City and the Metropolitan Area must pick up the computer equipment and the printer that are part of the scholarship benefits at the facilities of the Carlos Slim Foundation, under a strict appointment assignment procedure. It will be the scholarship recipient’s responsibility to enter their contact information correctly to ensure that they can be reached by Foundation staff at the appropriate time.
Scholars residing outside the CDMX Metropolitan Area will receive their computer equipment and printer via courier. It will be the scholarship recipient’s responsibility to enter their contact information and address correctly so that the package is delivered to the correct place.

1. Monthly financial scholarship of $3,000 to support research.
2. Electronic tablet and portable printer.
NOTES:
a. An electronic recognition will be delivered as a member of the Network of Scholars of the Carlos Slim Foundation that accredits him as a “Scholar for the Promotion of Health Research”.
to. The scholarship payment is made monthly, receiving $3,000.00 pesos within the first ten days of each month, except for the first deposit.
b. The scholarship will take effect as of May 2022, however, the first deposit received will be made as of June 10, 2022, and will be retroactive (for the only time the corresponding to May and June will be deposited).
c. Once the new fellows have been selected, they will be informed of the place, date and time that their equipment will be delivered to them.
d. Registration of bank details. Those who were creditors of the scholarship will be notified by mail of the opening date of the system to enter the necessary bank information to make the monthly deposits of the scholarship. You must log in with the username and password provided.
and. The account must be from a Mexican bank and must be in the Scholar’s name.
F. It will be essential that the first page of the account statement for the month of April 2022 be integrated into the system, without visible confidential information (balance and movements).
g. In the account statement you must see the Name of the Bank and/or Logo, the name of the account holder, period, account number, and interbank code.
h. The incorporation of another alternate document such as a contract with the bank is not acceptable.
