The Europe – Macquarie University A$10,000 Early Acceptance Scholarship is a significant new addition to our list of scholarships. This scholarship is available to all eligible European students beginning their studies in 2022. It is worth up to A$10,000 per year for the normal duration of a bachelor’s or master’s degree by coursework (up to A$5,000 will be credited to each study session, or term). Macquarie University is located 15 kilometers from Sydney Harbour and has a train station on campus that connects directly to the CBD. The campus is surrounded by 126 hectares of parkland. Macquarie University will provide a tuition fee waiver as well as a living allowance stipend. The scholarship has a “MQRES” full-time stipend rate of $28,854 per year (in 2022, tax-free for up to 3 years – indexed annually).

Applicants must have a record of excellent academic performance and, preferably, additional relevant research experience and/or peer-reviewed research activity in accordance with the University’s scholarship rating guidelines in order to be considered for a scholarship. Macquarie University welcomes new students.
- Must complete the Online HDR Candidature and Scholarship Application through the Online Application System, as well as arrange for two academic referee reports to be submitted to the Higher Degree Research Office.
