Scholarships give international students the opportunity to pursue their education and career goals so that they get what they wish for. Therefore, the University of Adelaide awarded the School of Architecture International Ph.D. Scholarships for both local and international students to pursue their Ph.D. degrees for the academic year of 2022-2023.

The scholarship is to encourage outstanding students to further their education in the Faculty of Science and Engineering Technology for Ph.D. Degree.

Eligibility

The applicants must meet the eligibility criteria of the scholarship before proceeding to the application process.

  • Must be an international, Australian Citizen, Permanent resident student.
  • The students must be admitted to a Ph.D. Degree at the University of Adelaide at the Faculty of Science, Engineering, and Technology
  • Have good communication skills in oral and written English.
  • Good academic achievements or related experience.

Application Process

In order to be awarded, students must undertake a doctorate from the university. After registration, applicants are automatically considered for the scholarship.

Admission Process

The students are required to select the program at the Faculty of Science or Engineering Technology and must be able to check the requirements for admission.

Language Requirements for International Students 

Selected accredited tests in the university’s English language are:

  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) – Academic test
  • TOEFL – Internet and paper
  • Pearson’s English Test – Academic
  • CAE (Cambridge English: Advanced)

However, the university may recognize another proof of English in individual cases.

Most language tests and qualifications that meet the university’s minimum English requirements are valid for two years before the start date.

Students without a required level of English must be satisfied with completing an intensive English language program before admission to the University of Adelaide. The university can provide a suitable English language program, Academic English (PEP Pathway) in Adelaide at the University English Language Center. The PEP Pathway provides an alternative entry route for prospective students who have received offers from the University of Adelaide on the condition of English proficiency. Upon successful completion of the PEP trail at the appropriate level, students will have direct access to the university.

Scholarship Total Value 

The University of Adelaide will award the successful students with a total value of $28,854 that can be used towards the students living stipend, the award will be per annum.

Scholarship beneficiaries are required to read and agreed to the terms and conditions applied to the scholarship award. Students must participate in the promotion of the scholarship and be active in the community involvement and activities that will help the university promote the scholarships and motivate other students to pursue their higher education in Australia at the University of Adelaide.

The Coursework Scholarships Office will send the scholarship payment on the student’s bank details. Changes to the student’s circumstances may affect the value of the scholarship payments, it is important that the beneficiary of the scholarship are aware about the scholarship value and conditions applied.

Scholarship Deadline 

The deadline to complete and submit the application and admission is until May 31, 2022. Interested students are required to apply early to be able to review their application and admission to the university. Late and incomplete applications will be automatically rejected by the scholarship panel.

Applicants will be notified by the Coursework Scholarships Office after four weeks from the deadline of the scholarship applications, all notifications will be sent to the registered email of the students.
