The University of Southampton in partnership with Wellcome Master’s Programme Awards in Humanities and Social Science scholarship aims to help local and international students to pursue their education for the academic year of 2022-2023. The scholarship program helps equip students by training them in humanities and into the research in social science that will help most especially those in low middle-class income countries in this Worl’s Global Health issues.
The partnership for this academic year of 2022-2023 by the University of Southampton and Wellcome Trust will be awarding three scholarships for the students who will apply for the Master’s Degree program at the university.

About MSc Global Health at Southampton University
The MSc Global Health at the University of Southampton s a multi-disciplinary program intended to develop students with the vital abilities to comprehend and react to worldwide health issues. Scholarship Eligibility
All international and local students can apply for the scholarship and must meet the eligibility requirements such as:

- Must show evidence of their academic achievements and minimum of UK 2I or 1st equivalent grade in BSc/BA.
- Research experience
- Have an idea or plans in their career for their home countries
- Good oral and written English skills
- Already receive an offer for the MSC Global Health
Scholarship Entry Requirements
Students who are interested to join the scholarship must take the consideration of the entry requirements of the university, please check the following academic backgrounds to continue your scholarship application, the university will only accept students who have a background in the following areas:

- basic/applied sciences

If in case you don’t have any of the following backgrounds you may also submit a work experience related to the mentioned sector above, the university will assess the student’s professional experience.
Language Requirements
The international students are required to submit the following IELTS test score:

Application Process
Students can start their admission and the application for the scholarship can be accessed online and it should be done separately. To begin your application, the students must

Keep in mind that all incomplete applications cannot be processed and reviewed by the scholarship committee, students must submit the following documents attached to their application.

A personal statement must be on a PDF form and consist of 500 words in relevant to the topic such as:
- Why did you choose the course
- How will you be able to use the MSC Global Health course in your home country?
- Insight on your career goals
- How do you see yourself in that course in the next five years
- Will the scholarship can help you with your goals
Scholarship Application Deadline
All applications must be submitted on or before May 17, 2022. The documents must be attached alongside your application. The admission process will be a separate application for each student, make sure to review your application before submitting it on the online portal provided by the university.

Scholarship Award
Three deserving UK and international students will be awarded for the Wellcome Master’s Programme Awards in Humanities and Social Science scholarship, amounting to up to $21,600, and can be used to cover their education expenses at the University of Southampton.
The scholarship will be offered annually by the University.
Important Terms
All applications can be tracked to the university’s portal system and the scholarship committee will notify the three deserving students 6 weeks prior to application. Students must also read and agreed to the university terms and conditions before proceeding with their applications. The scholarship recipient cant transfers the scholarship to anyone, the scholarship committee has the right to transfer the agreement if the student failed to consider their obligations.
