If yes, then you should apply for the Yale Young Global Scholars Scholarships, 2024.

The Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is a summer academic enrichment and leadership program that brings together outstanding high school students from around the world for intensive two-week sessions on Yale’s campus in New Haven and the Yale Center Beijing in China. YYGS offers nine interdisciplinary sessions that cover topics ranging from literature and philosophy to engineering and entrepreneurship. Scholarship Provider

Eligible Applicants

The Yale Young Global Scholars Scholarships are open to high school students who are at least 16 years old by July 19, 2024, the start of the YYGS session. Applicants must have one or two years of secondary school remaining after the program. Applicants must also demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership potential, curiosity, and maturity. Applicants must be fluent in English, as all instruction, communication, and assignments will be in English. Applicants do not need to be U.S. citizens or permanent residents to apply.

The Yale Young Global Scholars Scholarships are hosted by the United States of America, a federal republic composed of 50 states, a federal district, five major self-governing territories, and various possessions. Scholarship Worth

The Yale Young Global Scholars Scholarships cover the full tuition cost of $6,500 USD per student, which includes instruction, housing on one of Yale’s historic residential colleges in New Haven or a hotel conveniently located near the Yale Center Beijing in China, three meals per day, and optional health insurance. The scholarships also cover travel expenses to and from the program location. The scholarships are awarded based on merit and financial need. Applicants who wish to be considered for a scholarship must complete the online financial aid portion of the application and upload supporting documents.

Level and Field of Study

The Yale Young Global Scholars Scholarships are for high school students who want to pursue a summer academic enrichment and leadership program at the Yale University. The program offers nine interdisciplinary sessions that cover different fields of study, such as:

  • Biological and Biomedical Science (BBS)
  • Creative Arts and Media (CAM)
  • Literature, Philosophy, and Culture (LPC)

How to Apply

To apply for the Yale Young Global Scholars Scholarships, applicants must complete and submit the online application form by the deadline of November 10, 2023 at 11:59pm ET. The application form consists of the following components:

Countries that can Apply

The Yale Young Global Scholars Scholarships are open to high school students from all countries and regions of the world. However, some sessions may have specific eligibility criteria based on the program location and theme. For example, the Asia in the 21st Century session is only open to students who are citizens of and currently reside in countries within Asia, and the Innovations in Science and Technology session is only open to students who are citizens of and currently reside in countries within Africa.
