The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation (CKSF) is a non-profit organization that provides scholarship opportunities to high school and college students across the United States. Founded in 2000 by Daryl Hulce, the CKSF aims to promote academic excellence and reward students who demonstrate strong academic potential and a commitment to community service.

One of the unique aspects of the CKSF is its approach to scholarship eligibility. Unlike many scholarship programs that focus solely on GPA or standardized test scores, the CKSF offers a variety of online quizzes and competitions that test students’ knowledge and skills in various subjects, including science, literature, history, and more. By doing so, the CKSF encourages students to explore different areas of interest and showcase their strengths beyond the classroom.

Another key feature of the CKSF is its commitment to making scholarship opportunities accessible to all students, regardless of their financial background or academic performance. In addition to traditional merit-based scholarships, the CKSF offers need-based scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need and are committed to furthering their education.

Since its inception, the CKSF has awarded over $2 million in scholarship funds to more than 7,000 students across the country. Some of the organization’s most popular scholarship programs include the Common Knowledge Scholarship, which tests students’ general knowledge and offers cash prizes to the top scorers, and the CKSF College Book Scholarship, which provides funds to cover the cost of textbooks for college students.

In addition to its scholarship programs, the CKSF also partners with schools and educational organizations to provide online learning resources and educational materials to students and educators. By promoting academic excellence and providing resources to support learning, the CKSF is committed to empowering students to reach their full potential and achieve their academic and career goals.

The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation (CKSF) awards scholarships through internet-based quiz competitions. For the Nursing Scholarship, interested students must register for the CKSF Common Knowledge Exchange and answer two multiple-choice questions in the Nursing Education Plan.

The student with the highest score on both tests wins the Common Knowledge Scholarship. The FBI Common Knowledge Challenge is available to current students attending community colleges, colleges, junior colleges, or junior colleges.

The purpose of the scholarship is to help students understand what it means to work for the FBI as an agency and as a career. Students enrolled in the scholarship contest will receive an email with a list of links on the FBI website, from which the questions are derived. The student will answer questions and receive a score. At the end of each round, the student with the highest score will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Established in January 2000, CKSF has developed a wide variety of scholarship and academic enrichment programs for students of all ages. To date, CKSF has awarded more than $475,000, generating more than 900 student scholarships.

Developed and administered at Nova Southeastern University, the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation (CKSF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that creates and delivers innovative educational and scholarship programs for students of all ages through the use of internet-based quiz contests.

Our goal is to develop innovative scholarship opportunities that all students have a real chance of earning regardless of their academic standing (grade point average).
