About the Scholarship:

University Canada West (UCW), founded in 2004, is a forward-thinking business and technology university in Vancouver, Canada, that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees to both domestic and international students.
Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication, Associate of Arts, and Master of Business Administration are among the career-focused programs offered by UCW. Courses are available at the West Pender Campus, located in the heart of Vancouver’s financial sector, and the new state-of-the-art Vancouver House Campus.
Dr. David Strong, an experienced academic and prominent scientist who served as President of the University of Victoria for more than a decade, launched UCW Vancouver in 2004. The goal was to establish a self-contained, accessible university with a practical orientation and a focus on teaching excellence.

UCW is a teaching-focused, business and technology-oriented institution. The university is a dynamic and developing institution with strong ties to the business sector and a dedication to providing excellent student services.
Under the authority of the Government of British Columbia’s Degree Quality Assessment Board, UCW now offers four degrees: Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication, and Associate of Arts.
Motivated students can finish their degrees faster with four terms each year. A term is made up of ten weeks of classes and two weeks of review and tests. On-campus and online options are available for the Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication, and Master of Business Administration programs at UCW. Only on-campus courses are available for the Associate of Arts degree. MBA Foundation and the University Access Program are two preparatory programs offered by UCW to help students get the skills they need to continue their study.

UCW does not offer any type of on-campus housing. University Canada West has partnered with 4stay, a SaaS-enabled marketplace for student and intern housing, to provide students with a range of homes and inexpensive rooms for rent on campus and throughout Greater Vancouver.
Bed(s), closet, beddings, tiled or wooden floor, chair, table, drawer, curtains, and room lamps are all included in the room’s features. At 4stay, students have access to a $100,000 CAD house insurance policy. There is also a flexible cancellation policy and no deposit is required for room reservations.

The University of Waterloo is a public research university with the main campus in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The university is a co-educational institution, with approximately 36,000 undergraduate and 6,200 postgraduate students enrolled there in 2020. Founded in 1956, the university ended up becoming established to fill the need to train engineers and technicians for Canada’s growing postwar economy.

Then it grew substantially over the next decade, adding a faculty of arts in 1960, and the College of Optometry of Ontario (now the School of Optometry and Vision Science), which moved from Toronto in 1967.

Waterloo is a publicly funded research university and a member of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada. It functions on a term-based system, with fall, winter, and spring terms. Undergraduate programs comprise the majority of the school’s enrolment, made up of 25,000 full-time and part-time undergraduate students.

The university conferred 6,000 bachelor’s degrees and first professional degrees, 1,600 master’s degrees, 330 doctoral degrees, during the 2016–2017 academic school year. The university is organized into six faculties, which operate a combined total of thirteen schools and over fifty academic departments. This has easily doubled in the last handful of years.

When it comes to admission for any Engineering or Math programs, there is a large weighting given to the applicant’s supplementary application, extracurricular involvement, adjustment factors for individual high schools, and an admissions video interview.

Arthur F. Church made a sizeable donation to the Bachelor’s Engineering program back in 1976, so other students can have the chance to build their academic excellence further and show an outstanding ability to improve their own field.

This fund is made possible by a donation from Arthur F. Church to encourage exceptional students to attend Waterloo and to assist them in their scholarly pursuits.
