$1,500 Tennessee Hope Scholarships in 2022

Getting a scholarship to study at a dream university is what every student wants, especially those who are not financially optimistic. For Tennessee students or students who want to go to school in Tennessee, a landlocked state in the southern US, Hope Scholarships 2022 may be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

The Tennessee Hope Scholarships have helped thousands of students pay for a college education. These awards are given by the state government and support students living in TN. Different scholarship amounts may vary depending on whether the candidate wishes to apply for a two-year or four-year program.

This post provides you with detailed information about the Tennessee Hope Scholarships and how you can successfully apply.

About the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship

The Tennessee HOPE Scholarship is a state program, administered through the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation, established to provide merit-based aid to Tennessee residents who are enrolled in one of Tennessee’s public colleges, universities, or private colleges.

Homeschooled students, or those who have passed the GED exam, are eligible for consideration.

The HOPE Scholarship is established and funded by net state lottery proceeds and is awarded to freshmen who enroll in an eligible postsecondary institution within sixteen (16) months of graduating from an eligible TN high school.

Tennessee Hope Value Scholarships

The exact amount of the scholarship varies depending on the type of university the student wishes to attend. For example, students enrolled in a two-year college for the first two years of their studies can earn up to $1,500 to cover tuition fees.

Students who want to attend a four-year institution (or a two-year institution where they reside on campus) have a slightly different fee structure. For these students, an award of up to $1,750 is available for the first two years of the program.

In the last two years of its program, the maximum price has been raised to $2,250. This amount only reflects the offer for students interested in full-time education.

Funding for the HOPE Scholarship will be suspended under certain conditions. The first is when the applicant has reached the maximum registration period of five years.

Second, as soon as a student has a bachelor’s degree, they can no longer be supported by this procedure. Also, students who have reached 120 hours cannot receive additional funding.

HOPE Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship;

  • You must be a Tennessee resident attending an eligible post-secondary institution in Tennessee.
  • To meet the non-traditional requirements, all applicants must be at least 25 years old.
  • You must come from a household where the income is less than $36,000 a year.
  • Being a college student
  • Must be attending a college, four-year college, or two-year college

However, TN Hope Scholarships are renewable once students retain eligibility. In order to extend these bonuses, students must have at least a 2.75 GPA after reaching the 24 and 48-hour milestones.

Please note that there is also a HOPE scholarship for non-traditional students. Generally, students who reside in TN and have not been registered for at least two years are eligible.

You will find information about this scholarship on this site.
