Sanskrit scholarship is open to graduate at levels 100, 200, and 300 and all graduate students not specify a particular level for this opportunity.

Host nationality:

The Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarship is generally organized and hosted at Deemed University, India.

Eligibility Nationality:

This opportunity for Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan scholarship is open only to students from India.

Eligibility requirements

Standard 9th class / Purva-Madhyama-1st year or equivalent course

You must have passed the previous exam (i.e. 8th class or equivalent course) with a minimum of 8% grades or the same grade overall and 60% grades or the same grade in Sanskrit / Pali / Prakrit.

Students must have opted for Sanskrit / Pali / Prakrit as a work of at least 100 points or equivalent grade in the current class and also in the previous class (i.e. 8th class or equivalent course).

Class 10th standard / Purva-Madhyama-1st year or equivalent course

You must have passed the previous exam (i.e. 8th class or equivalent course) with a minimum of 9% grades or the same grade overall and 60% grades or the same grade in Sanskrit / Pali / Prakrit.

Students should have opted for Sanskrit / Pali / Prakrit as a work of at least 100 points or equivalent grade in the current class and also in the previous class (i.e. 9th class or equivalent course).

Class 11th standard / Prak-Shastri-1st year / Uttarmadhyama-1st year or equivalent course

You must have passed the previous exam (i.e. 8th class or equivalent course) with a minimum of 10% grades or the same grade overall and 60% grades or the same grade in Sanskrit / Pali / Prakrit.

Students should have opted for Sanskrit / Pali / Prakrit as a work of at least 100 points or equivalent grade in the current class and also in the previous class (i.e. 10th standard course or equivalent).

PLEASE NOTE: Students should note that student selection will be based on their overall grade/percentage and grade/percentage in Sanskrit subject. The final decision will be made by the Sanskrit Sanskrit Rashtriya on the recommendations of the Selection Committee.

Scholarship is worth:

Students in classes 9 and 10. INR 250 per month for a period of 10 months
Acharya / MA in Sanskrit / Pali / Prakrit or equivalent graduate degree INR 500 per month for a duration of 10 months
Students in classes 11 and 12. INR 300 per month for a period of 10 months
Shastri / Graduation / BA / BA (Hons.) Or an equivalent three-year course INR 400 per month for a period of 10 months
Vidyavaridhi / Ph.D. or the equivalent INR 1500 per month along with a contingency grant of INR 2000 per year for two years

How to fill out the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan scholarship application form 

Candidates who have to apply for the Sanskrit Scholarship Form 2019-20 should follow the steps given below.

  • Candidates will need to visit the official website here. Sánscrito.nic.in  or  beca.rsks.in .
  • Then the Government of India home page within Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University) will appear on the screen.
  • Please select the Scholarship Announcement carefully.
  • Read the step-by-step explanation on how to apply, the links mentioned to complete the Sanskrit scholarship application form.
  • Now, click on the Online Scholarship Guidelines link to read the full Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan scholarship outline.
  • If you are eligible for all the conditions provided, you can continue.
  • Click on the New Registration button and fill out the request form.
  • After that, the details of the registered institutions will be activated by RSKS after due verification within a week of registration.
  • Now the name of the activated institutions will appear in the drop-down menu of the candidate’s Sanskrit Sanskrit Rashtriya Online Scholarship Application Form.
  • You will receive a mail sent by Sanskrit Sanskrit Rashtriya and the institution can modify or upload enough details in the online registration form.
  • After activation, you can log in to fill in other details on your Sanskrit request form.
  • After that, click on the ” Online Scholarship Application Candidate Login ” link.
  • You will be redirected to the new page, there you must enter your email ID, mobile and password. Click on the Login tab.
  • Fill out the form and then upload the appropriate documents as planned.
  • Now, please submit the duly completed Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarship Application Form.
  • Download it and then make the hard copy for later use.

Required documents

Candidates will be required to provide the following documents as required by the scholarship board.

  • Mark previous education sheet
  • The information from the bank book where the applicant has an account in his name.
  • Aadhar card of the applicant Caste certificate / category category reserved from the corresponding authority in the applicant’s name.
