Scholarship details
The GeneTex Scholarship is a financial aid program that supports students who are pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) degrees at accredited colleges or universities. The scholarship is offered by GeneTex, a company that provides high-quality antibodies and reagents for biomedical research. The scholarship aims to accelerate scientific advancement and nurture the potential of young scientists.
The GeneTex Scholarship awards $2,000 (USD) to one student twice a year, in the spring and fall semesters. The scholarship funds are paid directly to the recipient’s enrolled university, which reduces the hassle of managing the money. The scholarship is open to international students, as long as they are enrolled in a STEM major at an eligible institution.
To apply for the GeneTex Scholarship, students need to submit the following documents:
• Transcripts (unofficial accepted) that show their academic performance and STEM major.
• Letter of acceptance or equivalent for incoming or transfer students that prove their enrollment status.
• Online application form that includes personal information, academic achievements, and an essay question.
The essay question asks the applicants to describe how their chosen STEM field will impact the future of humanity. The essay should be no more than 500 words and should demonstrate the applicant’s passion, creativity, and vision.
The scholarship recipient will be selected by a committee of GeneTex employees, based on the alignment with GeneTex’s values and mission statement. The recipient will be notified within 1-2 weeks after the application deadline.
The GeneTex Scholarship is a great opportunity for students who are interested in STEM fields and want to make a difference in the world. For more information, you can visit the GeneTex Scholarship Program website or contact [email protected].
