Requirements

Students that want to apply must first apply for admissions to the University of Freiburg. Then they must apply for a Master’s program that is available (there are a few courses above) and then all applicants will then proceed to successfully fill out the scholarship application form.

How to Apply

When it comes to applying for this scholarship award, students will need to either take a German language test (where students have to score at the minimum level) or show their previous German language test scores.

Afterward, this is a merit academic scholarship where only outstanding and high achieving academic students will be considered as recipients. It is also implied that applicants must show a strong social democratic value or interest, this can mean government involved programs.

Reward – Extra Benefits

The award amount is split into factions, with approximately 850 euros going towards a monthly allowance for the student. Followed by 270 euros going towards individuals who have families (primarily children) which will be paid per month, as another monthly allowance.

The extra added benefit is that any international individual who is accepted as a recipient is enrolled in health insurance that is covered by this scholarship, and so is the individual’s family.

This can be considered a family-oriented scholarship since family allowance is part of the reward. This means individuals with children will be the primary recipient over single individuals.

Deadline

The official deadline date is November 10th, 2022. This gives students ample time to take their German language test and take it multiple times if they do not pass with the minimum grade expected.

All individuals that wish to know more should consult the e-mail provided if an answer has not been answered or if the student wishes to ask about deferment. This scholarship does not specify if the individual needs to be a full-time or part-time student.
