For the academic year of 2022-2023, outstanding international students are invited to apply for the International PGT Scholarships intended for international students who will be commencing their higher education at the University of Nottingham in China.
The International PGT Scholarship
Annually, the University of Nottingham offers various scholarships intended for international students. The scholarship aims to promote diversity and reward excellence among the university students’ bodies. Based on the university data almost 30% of their undergraduate students and 40% of postgraduate students are being awarded annually an international scholarship.
Once the students are enrolled, the current and freshman students are eligible for additional performance-based and merit-based scholarships that can cover their educational expenses and other related costs.

The International PGT Scholarships List
Here is the list of international scholarships offered for the academic year 2022-2023. Keep in mind that every international student is only eligible for one entry-based scholarships awards at Nottinghmaand one progression-based award during their studies at the university.
Below is the list of scholarship and their eligibility:
- The Global Full Scholarships
Awards Value: The Global Full Scholarship will be amounting to up to $17,430 per student and the amount is equivalent to 100% cost of the student’s tuition fee for their first year at the university.
The Global Full Scholarship is an entrance scholarship and the tuition fee for the deserving students will be waived for on-year and the students who have already paid full towards their tuition fees wil be refunded.
Eligibility
- Must be an international student and can submit and complete their application forms.
- Good academic merits that have achieved minimum requirements of first-class (UK equivalent) to 70 upon the time of application.
Application Process
A separate application for the full scholarship at Nottingham is required. To complete the full Scholarship Application at Nottingham, the completed Scholarship Application Form must be submitted via the online application portal system before the deadline (for previous applicants please attach the form in ‘other documents’ in section 6 of the system). In addition, due to the nature of the competition, applicants will automatically be considered for the next eligible scholarship if they miss the first round of selection until the quota is met.
Scholarship Deadline: The deadline to complete the application for the Global Full Scholarship is until May 31, 2022.
- Global Half Scholarship
Award Value: $8,700 will be awarded to the outstanding international students or will be equivalent to a 50% tuition fee reduction towards the first year of the students.
The Half Scholarship is an entrance scholarship and the tuition fee for the deserving students will be waived for on-year and the students who have already paid full towards their tuition fees wil be refunded.
Eligibility:
- Must be an international student and can submit and complete their application forms.
- Good academic merits that have achieved minimum requirements of first-class (UK equivalent) to 65 upon the time of application.
Application Process
A separate application for the half scholarship at Nottingham is required. To complete the full Scholarship Application at Nottingham, the completed Scholarship Application Form must be submitted via the online application portal system before the deadline (for previous applicants please attach the form in ‘other documents’ in section 6 of the system). In addition, due to the nature of the competition, applicants will automatically be considered for the next eligible scholarship if they miss the first round of selection until the quota is met.
Scholarship Deadline: The deadline to complete the application for the Global Full Scholarship is until May 31, 2022.
- Global A Quarter Scholarship
Award Value: $4,368 will be awarded to the outstanding international students or will be equivalent to a 25% tuition fee reduction towards the first year of the students.
The Global A Quarter Scholarship is an entrance scholarship and the tuition fee for the deserving students will be waived for on-year and the students who have already paid full towards their tuition fees wil be refunded.
Eligibility:
- Must be an international student and can submit and complete their application forms.
- Good academic merits that have achieved minimum requirements of first-class (UK equivalent) to 60 upon the time of application.
Application Process
A separate application for the Global A Quarter Scholarship at Nottingham is required. To complete the full Scholarship Application at Nottingham, the completed Scholarship Application Form must be submitted via the online application portal system before the deadline (for previous applicants please attach the form in ‘other documents’ in section 6 of the system). In addition, due to the nature of the competition, applicants will automatically be considered for the next eligible scholarship if they miss the first round of selection until the quota is met.
Scholarship Deadline: The deadline to complete the application for the Global Full Scholarship is until May 31, 2022.
- Zhejiang/Ningbo Government Scholarship
Award Value: $4,700 will be awarded for the successful students.
Eligibility: Interested students must have good academic merit and must be able to submit the following:

Scholarship Deadline: May 31, 2022
- Central and Eastern European Countries Scholarships
Award Value: Amounting to up to $4,700
The scholarship award is for the international students who are in Central and Eastern Europe to commence their higher education in China.
- Family Scholarship
A one-time 10% fee reduction for children, siblings, spouses, or spouses of students who are currently enrolled in a regular postgraduate master’s program at the University of Nottingham Ningbo or who have successfully completed an award course.
No application will be required for the scholarship. However, students must provide official documents (birth certificates) to prove the relationship with eligible students or family members.
- Alumni Scholarship
To recognize the academic abilities of the graduate of the University of Nottingham, Eligible students applying for full-time postgraduate study at the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China and having previously obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nottingham, UK, Malaysia, or China, have studied for a 15% scholarship tuition fees for a maximum of three years.
