Brock Univesity in Canada offers funding opportunities to local and international students to pursue their master’s and Ph.D. degree in Canada. Interested students can now apply for admission for the academic year of 2023-2024. International students are encouraged to apply for the Faculty of Graduate Studies Funding Opportunities. About the Scholarship 

OGS or Ontario Graduate Scholarship aims to encourage graduate students with Master’s and Ph.D. degrees to apply for the scholarship with a funding opportunity to further their higher education with a total value amounting to up to $15,000 and the majority of the award will be given in three terms, the one-time award will not be granted.

One-term awards are not allowed.
Students should apply for the award at the college where they intend to go for graduate studies. The honor isn’t adaptable from one College to another. Scholarship Eligibility 

Before proceeding with the application, the students must meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarship.

  • Canadian resident, Extremely durable Occupant, or Safeguarded Individual [under subsection 95(2) of the Migration and Displaced person Insurances Act (Canada)] at the hour of the OGS application cutoff time date.
  • Taking a qualified program for a full-time degree.
  • Signed up for or applied for admission to a graduate program on a full-time premise at Brock at the time of the award.
  • A qualified program is characterized as a full-time program of study of a few terms at a qualified organization prompting a graduate certificate.
  • Applicants must meet the minimum academic requirements of the university, the students must have an overall average of at least 80% each of their last 2 completed years of full-time study.

Important Note

Students who have an OSAP limitation on their record are ineligible from accepting their scholarship until the limitation has been cleared. At the hour of dispensing, in the event that the Staff of Graduate Studies finds a limitation on the student’s record, the applicants will be reached by the Personnel of Graduate Studies and educated concerning a cutoff time by which they should clear the limitation or relinquish their awards.

Application Processing 

To apply for the scholarship, interested students must be able to access the application portal provided by Brock University. The application must be completed and submitted before its deadline.

Late and incomplete applications will not be considered and will be automatically rejected.

Required Documents 

As part of the application process, the students must be able to submit their official transcript t of records.

Language Requirements 

International students are required to have good communication skills in oral and written English.

Scholarship Award

Brock University will provide funding assistance to the beneficiary of the scholarship award amounting to up to $15,000. The awards will be provided in three years terms amounting to up to $5,000 annually.

The scholarship awards can be used towards the student’s education fee and other related fees. The successful students must be able to agree to the terms and conditions applied to the scholarship.

The deadline to complete and submit the application is until  January 15, 2023 by 4:00 pm.
