The Maid Sailors Big Dreams International Scholarship is from the Maid Sailors Cleaning Service in New York City. This is indeed an international scholarship that can be used at any accredited university or institution. Any international student can apply for this scholarship no matter where they live.
Maid Sailors has easily become one of the biggest name cleaning services in New York City, they have continued to help the education and schooling communities around the city. However, in 2019 the company wanted to expand its scholarship to international students from developing countries and around the world in general.
Eligibility
- Must be a dynamic student.
- Must be a passionate student who values hard work.
- Must be a hard-working student in high school, college, university, or trade school currently.
- Must be a student.
- Can be made or female.
- Must provide their real name and real school name they currently attend.
Requirements
The requirements for this scholarship application will require an email address, access to the internet, and access to either a phone to record the video or a camera. A camera can be borrowed as long as the video is uploaded to YouTube. The company does state that none of the information provided by applicants will be shared online.
How to Apply
Each applicant will need to create a 2-4 minute video explaining why they think education is the key to a brighter future, and how they can shape society. This has to be from the student’s perspective and in their own words, not from someone else or a parent.
Students can have helped only if someone is helping with the camera equipment, all the words and only the student should be talking in the video.
Applicants will need to send their videos to the email that is provided. This is the only way to apply for this scholarship, there is no other way.
Individuals will need to provide their name, the name of the current school they attend, and the field study that the student is currently enrolled for.
This is by far one of the simpler scholarship applications to submit to, they may ask for a transcript so have a scanned or photocopy version ready to send over if asked.
Reward
The reward is $1,500 USD to the one chosen student who has shown and shared the best reason about how they believe education is the key to shaping education towards a better and brighter future.
This reward may also be used as living expense coverage or for any equipment fees that may come up.
Deadline
The deadline for the first submission is November 30, 2022, and the winner will be announced on January 15, 2023. The deadline for the second submission is March 31, 2022, and the winner will be announced on April 15, 2022. The lucky students must claim the scholarship within two weeks after being contacted or the grant will be forfeited and the company will have to choose another winner.
Annual
This has now become an annual scholarship that is given out to one student per year.
