The Weise Foundation was formed to aid persons in need by way of education, guidance from more experienced individuals, and financial assistance. Scholarship Offer:
- As a result of the Weise Foundation’s extremely generous contribution, the Scholarship Fund has been established.
- Each Scholarship will have a value of $1500, which will be paid out in full at the time of award. Each academic semester, there will be two scholarships available.
Eligibility for Scholarship.
- Candidates for the Scholarship are required to:
- you must be enrolled at Flinders University in an undergraduate program on a full-time basis; and
- be currently enrolled in their second or following academic year; and
- have a grade point average of at least 5.0; and
- either be receiving a means-tested payment from the Commonwealth Income Support program or be able to demonstrate that they are experiencing significant financial difficulty; and
- be able to demonstrate that they are facing challenging circumstances that are having an impact on their ability to financially support their education; and
- You must either be a citizen of Australia, a permanent resident of Australia, a holder of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa, or a holder of a Temporary Protection Visa.
- Students enrolled in classes on a part-time basis who are unable to study full-time due to exceptional personal or family obligations are eligible to submit an application (e.g., disabilities, carer responsibilities).
- Both academic achievement and financial need will be considered when selecting recipients for the scholarship. The selection of recipients for scholarships shall be carried out in accordance with the protocols established by the University. Students who are members of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, who are single parents, or who are refugees may be granted preference (on Permanent Humanitarian or Temporary Protection visas).
- Previous awardees are welcome to submit new applications, however consideration may be given to students who have not been granted this before.
