Do you want to join a paid international summer program abroad? The Deutsches Elektronen – Synchrotron (DESY) project in Germany is recruiting bright minds and young people interested in expanding their knowledge and skills in the fields of Physics, Computer Science, among others. 

Each year this institution promotes the participation of applicants to be winners of this international summer scholarship which lasts seven (7) weeks. It can be done in two ways; in-person and online, the latter for candidates from abroad.

DESY involves each participant in the activities and events that it conducts during the paid summer scholarship program. For candidates who have the opportunity to travel to Germany, the program takes place in the city of Berlin.

This institution is one of the most famous in its field throughout Europe, due to the quality of its facilities and equipment, it is visited by high-level researchers from more than forty (40) nations each year. The fellow will have endless training opportunities with leading professionals in their areas.

Scholarship endowment:

DESY will allocate the following prizes to all fellows:

  • Reimbursement of travel expenses.
  • Monthly fund of 1,200 euros as a subsistence pension if applicable.

Conditions that must be met by participants:

  • Be an international student of a high academic level.
  • Have completed three (3) years of full-time studies in Physics, Computer Science, among other relevant fields.
  • If you have an undergraduate university degree, you can apply for a summer scholarship in Germany.
  • If you are pursuing a master’s degree, you also have total freedom to participate in the registration process.
  • You must not have won a face-to-face or virtual DESY scholarship in Germany in the past.
  • Have an adequate command of the English language, spoken and written. It is unknown if a TOEFL or IELTS certificate is required.
  • Have skills in the field of Computer Science.
  • Be vaccinated against COVID-19 as stipulated by the European Union.
  • Be committed to undergoing all DESY training.
  • Submit a formal online registration through the DESY program entry system for the seven (7) week training project.

  • Personal statement.
  • Research project to be carried out.
  • Resume of one (1) to two (2) pages where you mention data such as personal information, relevant experience, educational background, computer skills, among others.

The University of Toronto opened the application process for International Scholarships in Canada 2021 – 2022, students from all countries of the world are welcome to apply to obtain the same in any of the undergraduate courses by the higher education institution.

The University of Hawaii at Manoa Offers Undergraduate Scholarship in Various Areas; for successful international students. The academic year 2022-2023.

The University of Hawaii at Manoa is a public university. Its objective is to provide environments in which teachers and students can function successfully. The University of Hawaii at Manoa offers unique research opportunities, a diverse community, a nationally ranked division, and much more. It is a preferred destination for students and teachers from all over the country and the world.

  • The scholarship offers $10,000 to be paid in two installments of $5,000 for up to 4 years of study.
  • The scholarship does not cover travel expenses, maintenance, medical insurance or study materials.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must enroll full-time each scholarship semester (minimum: 12 credits) in UH ​​Manoa courses unless they are in their final semester and receive clearance from ISS to enroll below full-time.
  • Applicants entering the first year must submit ACT/SAT scores.
  • Applications for admission must first be made on the university portal. All new applicants will be automatically considered and continuing students must complete the IUSS online application form to be considered.
  • Students must submit the following documents: Official high school and post-secondary school transcripts; Supplementary Information Form for Foreign Applicants
  • For admission, applicants must have completed or be in the process of completing high school with a GPA that is comparable to an American grade of B (3.00 on a 4.00 scale) or higher.
  • Students must submit scores from the following English language proficiency tests: IELTS-7.0; TOEFL IBT-61; Duolingo – 125; PTE-68; TOEFL PBT-600 or Cambridge English Test – 185.
