About the Scholarship:

The Royal Polytechnic Institute, which is now known as the University of Westminster, was established in 1838. It is one of the most venerable educational institutions in the United Kingdom. In 1992, the university was given the title of University of Westminster, which means “University of the Royal Court.” Lady Frances Sorrell is the current Chancellor, while Dr Peter Bonfield OBE is the current Vice-Chancellor. Located in the heart of Central London on Regent Street, the university’s main campus. It also has three other campuses, which are located in Fitzrovia, Harrow, and Marylebone, respectively. A number of associations, including the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Association of MBAs, as well as EQUIS and the European Foundation for Management Development, Universities UK, and the European University Association, are affiliated with the university. The University of Westminster is comprised of three colleges, twelve schools, and 65 departments and research centers, among other divisions. UG courses are offered at the institution, as are 231 PG courses, as well as 99 professional and short courses. These courses are offered on a full-time, part-time, and open/distance learning basis. Awards, contracts, and research grants brought in a total of £22 million for the university. The university has produced notable alumni, including architects Sir Thomas Bennett and Fougasse, and animator John Ryan, as well as well-known authors such as Mary Jo Bang and David Gascoyne, businessmen such as Sinclair Beecham, Julian Metcalfe, and Robert Bellinger, and well-known entertainers including Charlie Brooker, Asif Kaoadia, and Tej Lalvani. Chantal Mouffe (political theorist), Ezra Pound (poet and major modernist figure) and Jean Seaton (political theorist) were all present (professor of media history and historian of the BBC). The university’s hostels contain 1750 rooms spread among six halls of residence, making them the largest in the country. If students are unable to secure housing in hostels, the university can assist them in finding private accommodations. All residences are connected to the university by means of the university’s transportation system. The University of Westminster does not grant any scholarships, although there are a variety of awards available for students.
