The International Student Support Awards were established by the University of Victoria to assist academically exceptional international students in financing their education. The prizes range in value from $1,000 to $10,000, and they are offered to international undergraduate students who have proved financial need and are starting or continuing their studies in the United States. These scholarships are only awarded to new or continuing overseas undergraduate students at the University of Victoria who have proved financial need.

The Institution of Victoria is a public research university with a purpose to support the acquisition, diffusion, and application of advanced knowledge at UVic and around the world. It is ranked 301st among the world’s best universities.

About the Scholarship:

The Institution of Victoria (UVic) is Canada’s most prestigious public research university. The university was founded in 1903 and was originally known as Victoria College. The University of Victoria, also known as UVic, is located in Victoria, British Columbia’s capital. Culture and creativity, climate and energy, health and life sciences, data science and cyber-physical systems, ocean science and technology, global studies and social justice, mathematics and computer science, and indigenous research are among the university’s eight research areas.  In addition, the institution has collaborated on research and development projects with the government, industry, and research groups. The University of Victoria is on a mission to use technology and social development to solve global problems. The institution offers about 3,200 students on-campus living options, including single and double dorms, Cluster Accommodation, bachelor apartments, and family housing. Victoria is one of the most appealing and desired cities to live in Canada, with its own set of benefits and drawbacks. Though it has wonderful weather and the conveniences of living on an island, finding an affordable home to live here might be difficult. The institution is located in the lovely city of Victoria, which is unquestionably one of Canada’s top locations for international students. The University campus is one of the city’s largest and is spread out over a lush area. It has everything you could possibly need within a 10-minute drive and feels like home from the moment you walk in. Indeed, according to recent data, Victoria is Canada’s second most expensive home market, with a vacancy rate of less than 1%. As a result, if you’re an overseas candidate on a low budget, you should look for shared accommodations, such as “community housing,” and begin learning to cook your own meals.

Places4Students.com and RentSmart have partnered with the institution to provide off-campus listings for its students. While the 21 dormitory buildings with single and double occupancy rooms come with mandatory meal plans, there are also 121 cluster units, which are four-bedroom apartment and townhouse units.

First-year students at UVic are guaranteed on-campus housing. Candidates are strongly encouraged to pursue this option if they are new to Canada and have no known relationships, as it is more secure and cheaper.

The cost of living on campus is anticipated to range from $5,015 to $8,276 per month (in USD, per academic year). The University of Victoria’s main campus, which spans 402 acres, is one of the largest in North America. UVic offers a comprehensive choice of undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees, as well as diploma programs, to prospective students, thanks to its world-class facilities and highly trained teachers The dynamic learning system at the University of Victoria is well-known. Advanced laboratories, art studios, libraries, and computer labs all contribute to a culture of creation and innovation. UVic has engaged on integrated research and knowledge sharing projects with premier universities and institutes throughout the world. Humanities, engineering, science, human and social development, education, social sciences, and fine arts are the university’s core faculties. Peter B. Gustavson School of Business, Medical Sciences, UVic Law, and Continuing Studies are among the university’s major schools and departments.

A sizable portion of the faculty hails from various parts of the globe. Furthermore, the visiting faculty includes famous professors from many foreign universities as well as industry specialists from various countries. UVic is truly a worldwide university, with students from all over the world enrolling in order to achieve a successful career. Furthermore, the university assists students with job placement. The University of Victoria is a hotspot for fun and leisure activities in addition to academics. On the university campus, there are sports courts, youth camps, student groups, art galleries, movie theaters, restaurants, and bars. In addition, the institution hosts a variety of games, festivals, and other cross-disciplinary activities on a regular basis. In the world of research, the University of Victoria is a leader. The university’s alumni are now world leaders in their respective disciplines. UVic students are recruited by top companies. Andrew J.
