Successful applicants will receive a financial award of £1,000 for each year of their course (excluding any time spent studying abroad or participating in an industrial internship).

Eligibility for Scholarship.
- Residents of England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland are eligible to participate. Student Finance England must have conducted a means test on all applicants (or your relevant Government department if you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland).
- Applicants must be enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at the University of Leicester on the first day of December in order to qualify.
- If you are a medical student and are given the University of Leicester Scholarship, you will be eligible to receive this reward for the first four years of your degree program at the university. You will not be eligible for the University of Leicester Scholarship award during your fifth year of study (or sixth year if you are pursuing an intercalated degree) because you will receive money for your tuition and living expenses directly from the National Health Service.
