About Jinggangshan University

Jinggangshan University (JGSU hereafter), a state-owned institution of higher education, is known for its comprehensive ordinary university education with a long history and glorious tradition.

It is a university jointly supported by the Ministry of Education and the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province, assisted by Tongji University, and authorized by the Nanjing Military Region for the cultivation of military talents and cadres.

Level/Field of Study:

Scholarships are available to pursue undergraduate and language programs in the following field of study;

  1. Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering: The duration of schooling is four years.
  2. Chinese Language Programs (non-bachelor’s ): Spring Program and Fall Program are available for either one month.

Host Nationality:

The scholarship is hosted by Jinggangshan University in China.

The scholarship is open to non-Chinese students.

Scholarship Benefits:

Jinggangshan University is an executive higher education institution for the Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarships to recruit international students to China.

In addition to the Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarships, the university has also established an excellent Scholarship for International Students at the university level under the relevant provisions, to reward those who are excellent in both character and learning.

A. Any first-year student who holds a certificate of Proficiency Test of Chinese Level Three (HSK3) or above can get a scholarship upon entering college, the amount of which varies from RMB 3,000 Yuan to RMB 5,000 Yuan according to the grade of the student. certificate.

B. MBBS students can apply for the University Level Scholarship every year during their studies at our university. If they meet the requirements of the scholarship evaluation, they will receive a scholarship ranging from RMB 2,000 to 10,000 yuan.

C. First-year civil engineering students who have paid tuition and all first-year fees and register before the provincial-level scholarship evaluation meeting (which regularly occurs in the last ten days of November), may obtain a provincial scholarship amounting to RMB 20,000 yuan.

Our university will divide the scholarship into two halves: the first year of RMB 10,000 Yuan and the second year of RMB 10,000 Yuan. From the second year to the fourth year, civil engineering students can apply for a university-level scholarship ranging from RMB 2,000 to 10,000 yuan each year.

Eligibility:

The following criteria must be met for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:
An applicant is eligible for a scholarship award in a year if, in that year, the applicant:

  • All applicants must have a valid passport, be in good physical and mental health, be of good character, and present a non-criminal record. They will comply with the laws and regulations of the Chinese government, obey university regulations, and respect the customs and social habits of the Chinese.
  • Applicants for the MBBS program must technically have a score above 65% of the total score in courses such as English, biology, and chemistry.
  • Applicants for the Civil Engineering Program must have a passing score or higher in courses such as English, mathematics, and physics.

Enrollment Goals

  • Undergraduate programs: aged 18 to 25, non-Chinese citizens with a high school diploma or higher.
  • Chinese language programs (no degree): 18-40 years old, non-Chinese citizens with high school diplomas or higher.

English Language Requirements:  Applicants whose first language is not English are generally required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the highest level required by the University.

B. High school diplomas or higher and transcripts

C. Valid passport (scanned copy or photocopy)

D. Non-criminal record certificate provided by the police station of your residence or proof of scholastic performance provided by your school.

E. A financial guarantee from a person (including a foreigner who has a regular job in China) or a company, or proof of income from the parent’s employing organization, or a bank savings certificate.

F. Physical examination results from the officially recognized hospital.

G. Photo (Requirements are the same as for a passport photo).

H. Evidence of Chinese language learning experience or HSK certificates (if any).
