About the Scholarship:

The University of Comillas is a private university in Madrid, Spain. The Society of Jesus runs the university, which is known in Spanish as Universidad Comillas. The university was established by Pope Leo XIII in 1890. Pope Pius X gave the university the authority to confer academic degrees in canon law, theology, and philosophy fourteen years later. The institution was founded in Comillas, Cantabria, and relocated to Madrid in 1969. The Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniera (ICAI) and the Instituto de Administración y Dirección de Empresas (ICADE), both run by the Society of Jesus in Madrid, were absorbed into the university after the move. As a result, Universidad Comillas ICAI-ICADE is sometimes used to refer to the university. In a variety of fields of study, Universidad Comillas (Comillas) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees. This 129-year-old Spanish university has a selective admission procedure based on entrance exams. Applicants from all over the world are welcome to apply. Lodgerin is providing housing for this program. Students can live in a furnished apartment with other University or international students or in a homestay, which includes a partial food plan. All student housing will be located within 45 minutes of Universidad Comillas. A bed, a wardrobe, a desk and chair, as well as utilities, are included in the furnished flats (electricity, water, internet, etc.). Lodgerin also offers a regular cleaning service for the apartment’s common/shared areas. Towels, bedding, and laundry service are not included in the base price. Courses are offered in either English or Spanish, however students must have done at least two semesters of Spanish to enroll in a Spanish-taught course.

  • Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must meet all of the following requirements in order to be considered:
  • Doctoral candidates with a strong research motivation and an interest in any Business and Finance topic related to the program’s research areas, particularly if it is related to sustainable consumption and management, social entrepreneurship, internationalization, hydrogen studies, sustainable finance, or behavioral finance.
