The Prof. Jo Ritzen Scholarships for French students is a scholarship program that aims to support and empower French students who want to study at Maastricht University for their bachelor’s degree in European law. The scholarship is offered by Maastricht University in collaboration with COLFUTURO, a Colombian non-profit foundation that provides financial support and opportunities for Colombian citizens to access high-quality postgraduate study programs abroad. The scholarship is named after Prof. Jo Ritzen, the former president of Maastricht University and the former Minister of Education and Science of the Netherlands, who made a significant contribution to this fund by providing the first starter gift.

The scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver for selected eligible students for the duration of their bachelor’s program at Maastricht University. The scholarship amount is as follows:

• The tuition fee waiver covers the difference between the Maastricht University tuition fee and the national tuition fee set by the Dutch government.
