The Anglia Ruskin University ARU International Excellence Scholarship is the International Excellence Scholarship awarded to students who can demonstrate exceptional academic and extracurricular achievement. 

In addition to looking at academic excellence, we are interested in knowing why you want to study at ARU, your career goals, your work experience, and the relevant activities you are involved in outside of your studies. 

We will ask you to write a short statement of support. when you apply for the scholarship.
Please note: This scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarships or with the international early payment discount.

  • The scholarship offers a tax-free stipend at a standard rate of £15,609 per year for 3.5 years and a research training scholarship of £2,000 for the 3.5-year duration. Also, your rates will be waived for 3.5 years (at the UK, EU or international rate).
  • The scholarship does not cover travel expenses, medical insurance or study materials.

Requirements:

  • Course or Eligible Subjects: Doctorate in Mind and Material Culture
  • Candidates must have a 2:1 degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • To apply, students must apply to the desired doctoral program at the university. After that, they need to apply for this funding opportunity.
  • Students must submit the following documents: Personal statement; Work experience; Reference letter; Proof of English language proficiency; Academic Transcripts and Specific Program Requirements.
  • For admission, students must have or expect to have, at least a UK upper second-class degree or an equivalent qualification outside the UK in astronomy, cosmology, physics, or a closely related field, or else a second-class degree. lower-class followed by a relevant master’s degree to be accepted into the university.
