For the academic year of 2022-2023, Missouri State University offers an Inclusive Scholarship Program known as a leadership Program where the Scholarship holders engage in the identity exploration and self through critical discourse in the classroom, as well as joint participation in programs and opportunities for community service promoted by multicultural programs and offices in the Department of Multicultural Services.
Scholarship Overview
Scholars and awardees have excellent opportunities to explore their many identities, celebrate their personal heritage, learn about and appreciate the cultures and identities of others. Students on this program are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the university in-room resources, which include kitchen areas, computer offices, a spacious lounge for studying, and free printings on their projects. As part of the unit in the Division of the student’s affairs, the Multicultural Services can be used by the scholars and the awardees to have the opportunity to learn in different resources that can be used to help them be more knowledgeable and be more productive.

Eligibility
All international students are eligible to apply for the scholarship program offered by Missouri State University. Students must meet the following criteria:
- The applicants must demonstrate their commitment to promoting the inclusion and diversity of the university.
- Being from a country that has the low socio income background
- Must be able to submit proof that you are the first generation in your family to go into college.
- Have a good academic program.
- Participated in the community services
- GPA minimum of 2.75
As the institute on public affairs values cultural competence, leadership, and community engagements the scholarship program view is to develop leaders that are willing to serve and advocate, support the campus community. The students must have a vision of their leadership that shows how can they be able to participate in their community.
Scholarship Application Process
The scholarship process can be made in two parts, the students must complete the application forms provided by the university and make sure to check the following:
- Student’s address, academic information, and contact numbers.
- List of participating organizations and activities.
Essay
The essay can be done along with the application form, essay must be consist of 2,500 words describing how your experience may be able to help the scholarship program, how will you be able to commit to the universities diversity.
After filling the application form, the students are required to submit the following documents:
- High school transcript of Records
- SAT or ACT score
- FAFSA
- Copy of Passport
- Diploma
- Certificates
It is good to review the application form before completing it and have all the documents completed to be considered. Incomplete application will not be accepted by the scholarship committee.
English Language Requirements
The international students are required to have good communication skills in the English language, all courses will be thought in the English language, the students must have good oral and written skills.
Scholarship Benefits
The deserving students who wil be receiving the awards will be awarded up to $20,000. There are categories to consider for every award to be given by the university. The scholarship can be renewed to up to three years.
Scholarship Application Date
The deadline for application is until February 1, 2022. The scholarship will be offered annually by the university. All applications will be reviewed after the deadline of submission, the scholarship recipient will be notified by the university.

Scholarship Renewal
Inclusive Achievement Award, Inclusive Achievement Leadership, and Inclusive Achievement Award are required to complete 27 credit hours of Missouri State University with a Missouri cumulative grade point average of 2.75 each academic year and participate in additional leadership program requirements.
Multicultural Leadership recipients and Multicultural Leadership Award are required to complete 24 credit hours of Missouri State University with a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 in Missouri each academic year and participate in any additional requirements for Inclusive Leadership Program benefits.
Leadership Scholarships for Inclusive Achievement, Multicultural Leadership Scholarship recipients who graduated in less than four years and meet the criteria for the renewal of their fourth year, and begin a graduate program at Missouri State University in the semester following graduation may be eligible for this scholarship for their first year of program postgraduate degree unless you are offered and accepted as a research assistant.

The recipient of the awards will be notified evcery month regarding events and all scholars are required to participate and attend, notice will include the following:
- Group meeting
- Opportunities
- other details regarding service hours and applicable OMP staffs
There will be a community services that should be completed by the scholars for each fall and spring semesters.
