Scholarship details
There are a total of four distinct types of Scholarships available to students at Renmin University. These are the Academic Performance Award, the Academic Progress Award, the Social Activity Award, and the Outstanding Leadership Award. The recipients of these awards are those who have excelled academically and/or achieved significant progress in extracurricular activities over the course of their schooling. You are only eligible to earn the one-time scholarship if you submit an application for one of these awards.
About the Scholarship Provider:
In 1937, during the commencement of the Second Sino-Japanese War, the institution that is now known as Renmin University of China (RUC) was first formed. Back then, it was known as the Shanbei Public School. Despite the fact that it also offers programs in the domains of natural sciences, computer technology, and environmental sciences, RUC is mostly known for its achievements in the fields of the humanities and social sciences at this time.
The university is comprised of 26 schools, and it has a total enrollment of over 25,000 students and a faculty of approximately 3,500. It provides 124 doctorate programs, 183 master’s programs, nine interdisciplinary majors, and 20 professional degrees in addition to its 183 master’s programs, 183 doctoral programs, 183 master’s programs, and 75 undergraduate majors. The university library has close to 20,000 physical books in addition to its collection of around 4.5 million physical books.
RUC takes great pride in its international focus, boasting links with 82 universities located in 25 different countries throughout Europe, 49 universities located in nine different countries throughout the Americas, 63 universities located in 13 different countries throughout Asia, five universities located in five different countries throughout Africa, and 11 universities located in both Australia and New Zealand. In addition, the School of International Studies collaborates with King’s College London to present a dual master’s degree program in Asian and European Affairs.
The universities of Manchester, Warwick, York, Edinburgh, and Kent are among those in the United Kingdom with which RUC maintains affiliations.RUC can be found in Beijing’s Haidan District, which is located to the northwest of the metropolitan centre of the capital city and is home to almost two million people. The region is home to a large number of educational institutions, including universities and colleges, which contributes to the area’s youthful population and lively atmosphere.

Scholarship Offer:
- The Academic Performance Award is going to be given out to three different people: the first place winner will receive 3,000 Yuan, the second place winner will receive 2,000 Yuan, and the third place winner will receive 1,000 Yuan.
- Prize for Academic Progress in the Amount of 1,000 Yuan
- The Social Activity Prize is One Thousand Yuan
- The Exceptional Leadership Award is worth 2,000 Yuan
Eligibility for Scholarship.
- Students who are in their first, second, or third years of undergraduate education:
- Students pursuing a Master’s degree that requires two years to complete, throughout your first year of school
- Students pursuing a Master’s degree that requires three years to complete: in your first to second year of studies
- Students pursuing a Ph.D.: if you are currently in your first year of school
- You must be ranked in the top 20 of your school in order to be considered.
- Students who have been convicted of criminal offenses, broken university policies, or violated foreign laws are automatically ineligible for these scholarships. This includes students who have received fines owing to the visa expiring or who have been penalized because of the visa.

The Renmin University of China 2023 International Students Scholarships is open to all International Students
If you are a first-year student at the University of London and you are paying the home fee, you should apply for the Full-time Undergraduate Bursary for the 2022-2023 school year. The purpose of the scholarship is to help incoming freshmen who have shown strong ambition for higher education and a desire to make a positive impact in their communities on their way to achieving their own personal and professional objectives.
Application Procedure
- Are you interested, and do you qualify? To submit an application, please visit the Chinese Government’s website at studyinchina.csc.edu.cn.
- To apply for the Renmin University of China International Students Scholarship, you must visit the website iso.ruc.edu.cn and fill out the application form within the allotted amount of time.
- Make sure to get the endorsement from your school.
- The applications will be evaluated by the International Students Office, which will then publish a list containing the recipients of each award.
