This is one of the scholarships that depend on essay writing. Direct Textbook is an online platform that helps parents and students search online bookstores for textbooks at bargain prices, saving them money and time.
The company allows parents and students to get more for their used books with its college textbook buyback price search, and save on textbook purchases.
This is not all they do, because they also give scholarships to two high school students who are US citizens.
The Direct Textbook Scholarship application process is not difficult, it is more like another essay writing contest, where applicants are required to submit an essay of about 500 words to directbooks.com.
After the submission of these essays, a panel of judges will judge the submitted essays and an email will be sent to the winners of this particular scholarship.
This is not the least scholarship I have ever seen. Durectbooks.com offers a whopping $4,500 a year for two students, with first place receiving $3,000, second place receiving $1,000, and the third person receiving $500.
Direct is giving out more than $100,000 to winners.
Once the contest closes, all essays will be reviewed and winners will be notified by email no later than June 8.
This scholarship award is non-renewable and no winner can apply for the scholarship next year.
This scholarship is for students who have not received the scholarship for the first time.
Most Direct Textbook Scholarship applicants are high school students, therefore direct books.com would ask questions based on the type of skills students are acquiring in order to live a more responsible life.
It is clearly stated on the scholarship provider platform that only US citizen students are eligible to participate in this essay contest.
How Direct Textbook Scholarship applicants are required to be enrolled in an American school and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 and above, anything less than this is not qualified to enter the contest.
Therefore, the scholarship application portal opens annually and closes on May 4 of each year.

Direct Textbook Scholarship is one of the few scholarships open to high school students in America, it is not dependent on the field, therefore it is open to students majoring in any field of study.
Students graduating from high school or already enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college can apply for this scholarship.

AAA South Jersey Scholarship Competition

For year 11, AAA South Jersey is sponsoring a contest to award $2,500 and a free one-year basic membership to high school graduates from Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem who will attend accredited two- or four-year universities.

With the Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia (CFNEG), Senator David Shafer chooses the top three essay papers from high school seniors graduating in the “Peach State” to award scholarships of $250 to $1,500 each.

Fleet Reserve Association Essay Contest
Established in 1924 to represent the Maritime Service community, the Fleet Reserve Association hosts an annual essay contest to provide 18 national and regional scholarships from $1,000 to $5,000.
United States citizens in grades 7-12, including those who are homeschooled, may request a 350-word essay to be submitted to their local FRA branch.

Of Lack of Promise Essay Contest
The From Failure to Promise essay contest was created by Dr. Cleamon Moorer, an engineer who persevered after dropping out of college to become an academic dean and TED speaker.
Offering $10,000 with three $500 honorable mentions, the contest is open to students in the United States and Canada with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Essays with at least 1,500 words must cite three vital life lessons presented in Moorer’s book.

Launched in 1998, the George Watt Award Essay Contest celebrates the lifelong activist who formed the Abraham Lincoln Brigade Archives by presenting a Pre-Collegiate Award, an Undergraduate Award, and a Graduation Award.
